Default Dhaka Stadium(not BNS)- home of BD cricket- now for football/soccer?

Ok, this is one topic i'm very keen on introducing simply becoz i think we shouldn't have allowed the Football Federation to even have an office in the Dhaka Stadium. I think it belongs to cricket since the day in was built during the East Pakistan time. If we look at the games it served in its history- its rich with all kinds of history and now football(along with hooliganism) will invade the ground where we had the likes of Wes Hall and Hanif Mohammad footprints!
I think its a really big shame that we gave it all up to BD football even when they had their stadium up in Mirpur!

The BAFUFE officials are disgusting, they make me sick!! The football players are happy with either ground.

Although nobody's interested with our football anymore, the sports ministry of former and current goverment careed/cares too much about them. :duh:

BTW, don't worry about hooliganism. No supporters, no hooliganism

Yeah, that's Kamalapur Stadium. I've heard that it's given to football. No reason to be sad, that stadium is a poorly built one, outfield is not good even for football.

Thats what i was saying- Dhaka Stadium(now known as BNS, but i don't give that name any recognition)- was made for playing cricket, not football/soccer!
It'll be really difficult for the Board to look for a central spot in the city. Not to mention corruption practised by the engineers and developers and contract workers etc etc! Therefore we won't get a quality place like Dhaka Stadium! Just when things were looking nice and sunny with the new pitch and the beautiful outfield- now the booters will troddle over it! Isn't it a shame?
