This is the XI I'm leaning towards for the first Test.
I would take RBX, if he is fit to play, Shafiul in the 14 men XI too!

I just made a last-minute revision and included Nasir as the 8th batsman. Realised the match is in Khulna and not CTG. And I'm not pleased about having to pick Shahadat but there really aren't any other options.

After RBX, Shahadat is the best option for test, IMHO.

This is the XI I'm leaning towards for the first Test.
One bowler short IMO. The changes that I'd make to your line up:

Tamim
Naeem
Mominul
Riyad
Shakib
Mushfiq+*
Nasir
Elias
Enamul Jr.
Nazmul
Shahadat/Rubel

But, I'd like to see:

Tamim
Anamul
Mominul
Naeem
Shakib
Mushfiq
Riyad/Nasir
Elias
Enamul Jr.
Nazmul
Shahadat/Rubel

I disagree. I think we should play to our strengths and go in with 8 batsmen. I'd play 2 pace bowlers and 2 spinners, with Shakib being one of them. No point going in with 3 pacers because our pacers are rubbish and it's a waste of a spot. 3 slas is too one dimensional so I'd prefer to give the other spot to a batsman.

My lineup:

1. Tamim
2. Nazimuddin
3. Nafees
4. Nasir
5. Riyad
6. Shakib
7. Mushy
8. Naeem
9. Elias
10. Rubel
11. Nazmul

Yeah, SS definitely getting his name amongst the fringe bracket.
I hope he can flourish in the A team and get his name amongst the top performers this year.
Definitely a player to watch out for.

Anamul missing the boat. Unless he scores a sparkling century/double century next game, he is mostly likely to miss the WI series.

Nizam will have an advantage due to his performance against Pakistan. Though it is so last year, unfortunately, that's how its going to work here.
But he really needs to step up and atleast have a decent knock in the four innings he's likely to get.

On the other hand, Mominul's been consistent and fantastic. This pint sized lefty might just have earned himself a test cap, even though I dont mind seeing him continue in the A team and domestic league.

Naeems looks like a certainty.
I'm getting impressed at his ability to stay at the crease, something our boys lack so seriously.

What about the bowlers ??
Shahadat had good day so far, bringing much needed early break thru for his team.

What are the odds on Naeem not scoring his century and staying NO while the rest of his partners have a jog up and down a flight of stairs

Rajshahi is 5 down and still no signs of Mushy, why is he chickening out to come to the crease? It would be a real shame for a national captain to do that if there ain't any injury concern.

Tamim and Shakib are the two genuine world class players we've got and each should blow everyone else away with dominating performances in this so called FC tournament. The critical combination of passable quality and competitive attitude is shamefully missing in the NCL, and calling this the FC cricket of a test playing nation is nothing short of farcical.

Want to see Mominul in Test, it's not like others are performing well and we can afford to bench Mominul. It's high time for him to get included and solidify our middle order.
