Default Tamim Iqbal's Hand!

Didnt this guy blast those 2 centuries with an injured hand??? If I remember right he was carrying an injury to his wrist before the England test series which led to the whole "will he?" "wont he play?" commotion ????
Well.....What happend then?? Noboday talks about it anywhere Im just wondering what the latest is on that situation? does he still require that surgery which puts him out of the game for 3 months??
Will he play in the NZ series (bloody hell he needs to in order to get that 1000 test runs for 2010!!!) ??
Info Info Info please thanks!

BTW just to clarify, I couldnt find the "Everything about Tamim Iqbal" thread so decided to open a new thread regarding this matter (I know how some of you guys are about 'unnecessary threads')

If we can make thousands of unnecessary threads abt our Ash then any thread abt Tamim should be acceptable.
And this topic is not ignorable at all.
I've no news abt his hand, maybe his hand prblm is solved.

this is correct. According to PA , instead of 3 ODIs and 2 Tests, NZ want to play 5 ODIs.

watched it on NTV,no Tests but 5 ODIS vs NZ,it's bad because at home last time we did pretty well against NZ.
And teams like NZ are worse than Eng,Ind.(in Test)
I desperately want a home Test series vs WI now.:- I

Regarding the matter of his hand people, what I recall hearing was that Tamim himself admitted he had a hand/wrist problem which required surgery but was not too saviour. He said that when he felt there was not too much cricket pressure on him then he will opt to take on this surgery. So what this could mean is that Tamim is taking on the surgery during this period of rest in Bdesh cricket scheduling.

Canceling tests make no sense... Wee play very little Test Matches as it is, playing 2 extra ODIs won't make a difference in the World Cup!

Apus, mod bhais, I am specifically searching for a thread called "Tamim Iqbal's Left Foot-2009" and can't seem to find it anywhere. I found the "Official Tamim Iqbal's Right Foot - locked thread - 2008" but those discussions in there are not what I need.

sigh...this is what happening behind the curtain of Bangladesh Cricket.

many official stuffs unnecessarily go abroad with team during overseas series in the name of monitoring....and when the most important cricketer requests to go for a check up in Australia(since BD has no such medical treatment facility) they deny it !!

shame on BCB morons.

I'd stand by BCB just for now.
Just for now.

Why?? you dont send a player overseas just because he has a gut feelings that something is not right. No matter who that player is. The board has to treat everyone equally.

BCB official makes a sense here. There is a due process for everything. Team physio is the "supposedly" specialist in this sector and if he says its ok, we have to take his words seriously. But at the same time, a player knows best about his condition and there might be a communication gap between Tamim and the physio.

Whatever it is, it is only suitable that the coach comes back and then the trio, along with the BCB high up looks into this matter seriously before sending him wherever.

Had this been such a big issue, did Tamim bring it up while the team was in the England tour?? When did he make his "baina" to go to Australia?? Before the coach left or after??? Shomoy nai oshomoy nai, babu ekta half ticket, bollei to hobe na.

If he really really had to go, he should have been on the same plane with Siddons. But since he wasn't, he should be waiting for the right process.
Or else next day, you'd see all the other players are queuing up for problems and wanting to go here and there. BCB can't let that happen.

But whatever it is, I hope it would be looked after very immediately and hope it wont have any implications during the world cup period.

Don't our players trust the physio M. Henry anymore? This is very worrying.

¨^^^how can he trust Physio when the Physio says he has no problem although Tamim is feeling some pain?
And there has been a lot of confusion & hesitancy abt Tamim's hand,I think it's beacause during every tour we need him so badly,he knows it which is why he was hesitant but he thinks it's the right time now & I wld say GO TAMIM & hope BCB will understand because whatever happens we want a 100% fit Tamim before WC.
jar daate betha shei bujhe daat betha ki jinish.

Good thread Tiger-ess apu. But I think your thread motivated Tamim to think about his hand too seriously and his pain considerably increased after noticing the thread. And as a result he decides to get a check up in Australia.

^^ haha Im glad I made a difference!

No but seriously if this report is 100% true, I think BCB should send him to austrailia asap !! he has very little time.. forget NZ tour! Rabz bhai I know you are arguing the case of treating every player the same but lets face it he is head and shoulders above anybody else in the team at the moment. Anyway I dont see what equality has to do with this. If this had been anyone else in the squad and they felt they needed special medical attention then so they should get it they are national team players at the end of the day.

God forbid 19th february 2011 comes Tamim Iqbal Khan doesn't come out to open for bangladesh...now that would be a disaster!
