excellent i agree with you,

kayes and asharful should go... if he doesnt perform tmrrow then i think they will drop him, not sure about rokibul, i would keep him,

tamim and junaied good decision, but not ash and kayes for test

why doesnt play like raqibul in the test sqaud, he is an excellent player from my point of view, he can easily settle in although he makes less run, he has the stamina to hold the team and let other batsmen score runs, which i think is good for bangladesh!!!

Sorry...bad joke...the fact is I'll not take into account what he did in any selected particular outing. As he is an experienced test player, I'll take what is good of him from the Past, If and only if I have to take anything frm the past. He is the player who scored the highest run for Bangladesh at the highest level. Thats the only part of past that I am interested in. Not any 14innings from 2006 or 19innings from 2000 or 8innings from 1998. Did he prove himself in the highest level? Yes...Now I come back to the present. How is he batting now-a-days? three 50's in four innings???Is it realy the kinda form he is in?It is far far faaar better than present Bangladesh middle order. Given his experience, he would be the perfect combination of HUGE Experience+Present Form...Now who should we drop frm that mortaly broken down middle order to accomodate Bashar? Ash? No...still he is a rough diamond among mediumquality batsmen of BD. Should he play his once in a blue moon Eid innings that wins Bangladesh matches, he cant be dropped. I think for Bashar's accomodation we can drop Roqibul. From Ash we have a possibility of an Eid innings. But I think its obvious now that from Roqibul we can never expect tht flare, he isnt of tht breed, the 'Genious' type. Where as Ash is of tht breed.

So, we got Roqibul for dropping from the lineup for the comeback of the highest run scorer of Bangladesh. And we need to do it NOW!! Urgently!!
thank you brother, but i dont support droping raqibul, he is an excellent player, look at his average, best avarage nearly same as shakibul or near

Brother, every1 is entitled to his own opinion. I respect ur opinion, but I differ with u in my opinion. Rokibul is good but with limitation. For the last few outings he is in realy poor form. I admit that when at his best,he will consistently score 30-40 runs. But u will never ever get a matchwinning century frm him as it is out of his ability. But the like of sakib, tamim, ash can and will give u such performances once in a while. I think BD needs this type of matchwinners, not any consistent mediocre performer. The like of rokib can give u 'respectable' lost matches but we need to win! We are past tht stage, now we need matchwinners. Tht I think Ash can give u once in a while other than sm1 of the caliber of rokibul. He is good, surely, but not to the height that we need. Anyway, tht was just my opinion...

Guys, comeon, dont be sooo mean.. He brings a valid point I think.. Anyone can think lik that when you are getting consistent <10's from your so called "batsmen".. And FYI, Bashars test batting average is still the highest for any BD player who has played a decent number of test matches..

honestly, if bashar continues his consistency in the NCL i could see him being brought back to the test team, maybe even as the #3.

I really wouldn't mind to see him play the Tests against England. I don't think it would be a backward move rather it could be really beneficial for us and is less risky than giving a youngster a go.

Haven't followed Bashar of late. He is an affable, immensely likeable character, and must add, one of my fav BD players from yesteryears.

That said, i think he is past it. It will be too much pressure on him and i doubt if he can replicate his peak or anything close to it.

Now, Bashar for 20-20 is the joke of the year.

No, we want Habibul Bashar in the test squad. And if possible give him back the captaincy of the test team for 2 more years. Shakib can be captain in odi/t20. Comeon BC members, u like sumon or not,u gotta admit he was and still is the best captain of Bangladesh! Atleast this u gotta admit? So, once again like the late 90's, lets start a movement for pressuring BCB to bring back Habibul Bashar as our test captain! We did it once, we'll do it again!

with the test team in desparate need of a #3 bashar is a possiblity, i know there are some youngsters doing well in the NCL but at test level bashar has experience, not just experience (ala ashraful) but good experience (he's been the best test batsman BD has produced to date). so he would have to be on the selectors radar.
