Default South Africa in Australia

k'day kangaroos.

Its about time South Africa wins in Oz.
Ripe for the plucking?
Is Kallis still snoozing in the sun?
Hashim Amla feel like hitting 200?

They key will be for Saffers to take the first punch and stay standing. You know Australia will want to land the killer early blow and get the old wounds reopened. Look for an avalanche of sledges, bumpers and fielding retuns being thrown at the batters. Also Harris and Morkel are going to come for some stick. They'll be targeted by the Australian top order as the weaker part of the bowling arsenal.

Good points, Harris needs to look at how Krezja handled the onslaught from India. He got hit all over the place, but held his cool, as did the captain, and then he went on to take a bucket-load of wickets. Without that cool approach, Oz would have been tamed much more easily; they still lost, but they did not lose by as much as they could have.

I've been looking forward to this series for a while. The batsmen average over 50, the bowlers in the 20's and they hit 150k operating well below full capacity. Two of the top three teams (heck, they are possibly the two best teams) in the world facing off on hard, bouncy surfaces - this is the best that cricket has to offer.

So far, though, what I'm watching is no better than watching Bangladesh play in South Africa.

quick question: if South Africa pounds Australlia in their own backyard, does that make Bangladesh look good?

This performance just proves once again that our performance in SAF was better than OK.

no, it wasn't. we could have done much better. 3 run out in last innings of the last test match?

Johnson nailed McKenzie early, but the takla and motu doing the repairwork. Aussies posted a challenging 375 nonetheless.

Takla bowled for 47. Krezja the man
Quote:
31.1 Krejza to Amla, OUT, bowled him! Lovely ball! Krejza loops the ball up outside off stump, drawing Amla forward with the flight, he beats the batsman in the air, pitches the ball outside off stump and spins it through the bat pad gap as Amla tries to whip it on the leg side, that turned a long way to hit the stumps

HM Amla b Krejza 47 (67b 5x4 0x6) SR: 70.14

Johnson was pure brilliant. I guess SA still holds the choke record.

Take that Aussie haters. They are surely going to come out with a BANG!
