Great job by the selectors
I believe the selectors are doing a wonderful job. As far as I can remember this selection board has been in place for more than two years now and they have stuck to their policy of giving players a lot of time to perform with odd couple of exceptions. You can see it has been a very fruitful for Bangladesh cricket.
From the beginning of the test status our more experienced batsmen had to endure a cruel game by some of the stupidest selectors. When a team is playing cricket at a whole new level it is important that the players are given an ample opportunity to get used to the task. Unfortunately the players such as Akram Khan, Bulbul, etc could not get the job done at the beginning and had to pay for it with their international career.
The selectors should keep the job of being a national player very hard one to get. However, they need to be fair also. Al Shahriar was not given a chance to play in the Bangladesh A team and that was nothing but a stupid decision.
Selectors play a major role in the success of international cricket. The current selectors are doing a commendable job so far and for the sake of Bangladeshi cricket I really hope they keep on doing so.
