BD Domestic league
Hi All, I am sure this wont be as controversial as amy last thread. I am not entirely sure how top BD domestic teams like Abahani, Biman and Mohammadan are run, in terms of training facilities, coaching, Age group etc. I think it would be a great idea to have foreign coaches, trainers and fitness equipments given to top five-six clubs where players most likly to enter international fold so there isn't a massive gap between domestic and international. I think players will be much more fitter, will understand the game well wouldnt have to learn too much about the game upon entering international level... I think under 19's have good facilities and if the clubs are given similar sorts of facilities it will have a massive impact..In another words giving international feel with in the domestic level like in county cricket.

Although youre right, it would be great to have "foreign coaches, trainers and fitness equipment" for the top five-six clubs, it would also be great to hire the best coach in the world for the national team by offering him a trillion dollars. BCB just doesnt have enough money man. This isnt some huge ingenious idea you just had. People have of course thought of this before. Now if you could propose a way the BCB could come up with the money, we're all ears...

We're much better employing this sort of scheme in the first-class structure. It's a waste of time doing it in club cricket.
They might consider selling the naming rights to each Divisional team ie. Grameen Chittagong vs Beximco Dhaka
But that's one of a thousand ideas that could possibly be floated without any knowledge of the finances and accounting involved.

We'd better develop our local coaches there.
