Have you seen Bermuda squad play? I don't know how good they are. Hopefully Kenyans will do well in this tournament. They have a long and shaky history in world cricket.

Kenyans seem to have lost interest in cricket
DESPITE Kenya’s rise through the ranks of international cricket – they reached the semi-finals of the World Cup just three years ago – there no longer appears to be a huge amount of interest in the game.Football, currently in administrative turmoil with the national side banned from competition by FIFA, remains the number one sport in Nairobi, closely followed by athletics.
News of the ongoing football woes along with how Kenya’s top runners fared in the weekend’s New York Marathon filled the back pages of Monday’s newspapers, with barely a mention of the Intercontinental Cup match between Kenya and Bermuda.
At the host venue, the Nairobi Gymkhana, a private members club surrounded by high walls and guarded by a large security staff, few spectators, although allowed to enter free of charge, have taken advantage of the six covered stands and pavilion which circle the playing area.
While frequent showers will have deterred some, no more than 200 turned up for the opening day’s play, many of those attending late in the afternoon after domestic matches had finished.
Also conspicuous by their absence at the ground have been the Nairobi media, those who have taken an interest in the game popping by for the final session to jot down details from the scorebook.
MUCH like the demise of football in Nairobi, cricket’s decline has also been blamed on the administration.Allegations of corruption were rife after much of the money generated from the World Cup success of 2003 went missing.
Those now running Kenya cricket say little from the World Cup proceeds was invested in the development of the sport and would-be sponsors have deserted the game, although the upcoming one-day series between Bermuda and Kenya in Mombasa has received corporate backing.
Most of the cash made available by Government is now required to meet the salary of coach Roger Harper – brother of former Bermuda national coach Mark Harper – who was appointed earlier this year.
WITH rain having washed out much of Monday’s play and all of yesterday, some observers here have questioned the timing of Bermuda’s tour.Late October/early Novembers is regarded as Kenya’s ‘short’ rainy season, although much heavier downpours are expected from March through to May.
“This time of year you can expect the weather to be wet,” said one Kenya official. “We could have told you a long time ago that early November wasn’t the ideal time to visit. It would be unusual if we went for four days at this time of year without getting some rain.”

1st match Kenya won by 79 runs. Kenya 224 for 8. Obuya 44, Tikolo 43. Bermuda skittled out on 145. Varaiya 29/3 man of the match (Kenya).

2nd Match Bermuda 184 allout. Odoyo 25/4 (Kenya) Man of the match. Kenya wins by 7 wickets. Tikolo 62 not out, Mishra 64 not out.

3rd Match Kenya 305/8, Tikolo 111(98), Mishra 44(51), Odoyo 35(19), Leverlock 51/5 (Ber). Bermuda 201/6, Minors 68, Romaine 43. Odoyo 26/2 (Kenya).

Tikolo destroyed Bermuda and got the series whitewash. He got the player of the match and the series. His average was 108. At this age he still can dish it out. 111 in 98 balls. Even our boom boom ash can't dream anything close.
Well done Kenya. I do not see any day light for Bermuda in the WC. Beside Leverlock there is no one. If we can't get to 300 (batting first) that would be a shame. Batting second we should not extend the game beyond 50 overs in total.

kenya gained nothing in this series, except for confidence...and even that is not worth much come march. the same thing will happen to us because the only opponents we have before the WC is zimbabwe, bermuda, and canda.

LOL.. really..
Tikolo should not be compared with Ashraful .. i mean scoring a 111 of 98 with Bermuda and scoring a 100 of 100 balls or 94 of 54 balls respectively against Australia and England.. IS NO MATCH. Tikolo is no talent.. He's just an average good player..emerging out to be their best batsman because he was kind of consistent..but Ash is a talent and a better player than Tikolo from every point. I mean whatever the stats say.. Ask anyone..even Tony Greig..to choose anyone from tikolo or ash..Ash < will be selected.
Side note : Tikolo doesnt plays anything specal.. Ive seen him playing like 20 times. ( He plays for OLD DOHS CLUB in Bangladesh , OLD DOHS < is the area i live..all the OLD DOHS club cricketers do come occasionally to practice in our area's field )
Last year in 16th Decemeber..one of my friend actually BOWLED hannan sarkar out 2 times in an over.. lol He played for both of the teams.
