I will now wait to read what the media write about this performance. Have heard the negatives for so long.
May be Rafiq will also perform with his bowling tomorrow.

I hope Rain will not dampen this joyous moment for BD and Rafiq.
Recent carribean weather is completely in a mess.

Yesterday, cricinfo put Habibur pic on homepage. They better put Rafiq pic today. Two bd players on their homepage in a row. Great!

Please no rain for the next 3 days - this seems like a test we can draw without rain, and I'd hate to see this great display go to waste
great job to bashar, ash and especially rafique - we may not be the most talented bunch, but on occasions we do show a lot of heart

Draw! I am thinking of follow on..wouldn't that be great?
Most memorable Memorial Day weeknd for us here in U.S. We will always remember the 2004 memorial day.
I wish rafiq was used earlier in the one dayers instead of coming at no.9. anyway.this is better hundred times over.

Two centuries in the same innings. Splendid work, BD. Good luck the rest of this test. Maybe WI will collapse?

congratulations fellow BD ppl!!! "
-----------------------------------------
- I had to take off to be at my dojo when Rafiq was still in his early 80s.
I came back “knowing” for sure that it was all over.
How sweet it is to be proven wrong..!!
Its probably safe to assume that I'm one of the many who scroll thru the postings on the test threads from right where they leave off - just to relive the missed experience via reading thru the 'live' emotions (read agony) of fellow members.
Only this time they are all of happiness, elation as BD crawled and then sped thru 400 marks.
I internalized each single sigh, desperate prayer urging Tareq to hang on so that Rafiq can reach the elusive century.
I saw the above one from Betaar, while goose-bumping my way thru all of those heartfelt postings.
As I read along even for a part time cynic like myself couldn't help but getting a lump in my throat.
It is a simple yet very profound message congrats for our fellow people in land left behind.
Realizing how extraordinarily rare it is for the people back in Bangladesh to celebrate something collectively, that simple line hit me like a Mac Truck.
Not everyday you get to see Bangladeshi Diaspora from all over the world to come together to celebrate and to agonize in one venue apolitically.
Unlike a lot of other immigrant communities, ours had been a disjointed one (at least in my exp.). Too often, we are busy out smarting, out-witting each other.
We had been too proud to be first one to say 'hi', when you come across another fellow countryman (don't mean as a gross generalization though).
This is such a wonderful event.
A priceless raison d'etre for this forum.
Hats off to the founder(s) and the volunteers whose time/effort and goodwill make this possible.

Agree...If it becomes a draw thanks to Rain, it will just gonna be another statistis of being one of the three tests that was drawn by BD. No reporter will bother to note that on this one it was the oponent who got saved by the rain.
BBC had been notorious to for always putting qualifying statements like that when mentioning Bangladeshi test draw/stat.
