Default Asif Ahmed

He is only 17 years old Bangladesh U-19 player. He was part of the team that toured England in 2009, but was ignored for the U-19 world cup. This drop has given him the opportuity to play NCL for Barisal and this boy has made full use of the opportunity.

He scored 121 runs off 193 balls with the help of 15 boundaries in his seond first class match afer scoring century (108) in his debut match against Chittagong. His second century (back to back century) came against Dhaka who has a very decent bowling attack with international experience (Talha, Sharif, Mosharraf Rubel, mehrab Jr.). I do not know how many Bangladeshi player have scored century in their debut first class match, but this kid is someone to watch for the future.

I will be following his development as a cricketer.

Please find attached the image of the boy.

Opener. He was the highest scorer for both innings against Chittagong. 108 (192) out of 239.

Against Dhaka 121(193) out of 250 and was the last man out.

Wow so he's scored 2 centuries in 2 matches? That's impressive. I know it's early days, but what's his average?

In DPL he played for BKSP. He did bowl 48 overs in 9 games. Right arm off-break. Got 11 wickets with a Econ of 4.58.

His best figures were 10-1-25-4
Worst was 4-0-30-0.

In 10 innings he scored 252 with a SR of 72.4%. Did have a 50. Future is bright.

Mirza bhai..Asif Ahmed hit his 1st first class century against Chittagong Division where he hit 108 off of 192 balls with 16 boundaries..the score of 121 against Dhaka is the next match he played in..so the young man already has 2 1st class centuries..good for him..definitely a player we have to watch out for..having 2 centuries already for him is no joke..

This was his second match and second century.

The first match (Debut) was against Chittagong where he scored 108.

I hope he does well in T20, but I want him to develop as a top order Test player with proper temperament.

With proper grooming, this boy has a big future ahead.

Definitely..i actually dont want him to play T20 as of yet..it might mess up his temperament, application, and technique..he needs to focus on 1st class cricket first so that he learns the right way to bat..i heard that adrian barath, the west indies opener did not play T20 cricket for a while and just focused on 1st class cricket so that his application and technique dont get messed up and now look at him..i think he should play in academy cricket soon and go on from there..if he keeps it up this guy could make the team in 3 years..

Video clip of Asif from 5th u-19 odi against England u-19. Watch from 2 minute onwards, he struggled in that game playing as a middle order batsmen.

Are, mogo borishailla monu na???
shenchuri to korboi... after all, Banglar Bagh er desher pola....

..and yeay...another Ash in the making..
Lets draft in the national team against india in the second test and watch him score a century..since he's got habit of scoring centuries on debut matches...

Then slowly and painfully watch his average get stuck at 21.25 after a gizillion matches....
