Tremendous fightback to save the test by Pakistan. I thought they were all dead and buried before the Misbah-Akmal partnership revived not only hopes for this test, but also for the series ( draw at least ). BTW, I would choose Misbah as the MOM for this effort under tremendous pressure though hard to ignore a double centurion.

Not impressed by the kolkata pitch. The Indians are leading the series. Can't blame them of seeing these type of pitches. I would instruct our curators the same.

In all honesty, i thought that qualified as a bold declaration.

In fact i was upset! 345 to get in 82 overs - heck teams get 300+ regularly in 50 overs.

I sank in dejection. I sighed relief when Pakistan crawled at snail's pace for the first 30 overs. I was like - this team really sucks.

Disappointed with Paks last batting, they could have easily scored those runs with a beautiful batting pitch, they missed a golden chance. Kumble's declaration was a bold one.

Yes people do score 300+ in 50 overs in ODI. But the only problem with your logic is they do that in fresh pitch and in this case it was a fifth day pitch, it broke a lot (even though not as much as they predicted) and the ball was coming slower. Thats why India also couldn't score as quickly as they wanted in the 2nd innings.
