Shanto is also in good form.

Riyad gets the chop if anyone is dropped, mosa has been too promising to drop, shakib, mushy and tamim are untouchable (not really but for selectors), soumya is in good form.

Liton and anamul both are putting pressure on the openers, nazmul has been batting at 3/4 this season and has done very well.

Liton is a talent for sure, I think he is ready once again. A must in next series.

Afif with a nice cameo on at the backend of his teams innings, looks like he could be a pretty good finisher.

Afif so far with two wickets to add to his nice little innings.

We made a massive error by not picking Al-Amin Hossain for the CT. I have no idea what Shafiul is doing in the squad.

The only players that are in contention for places among the national squad are Liton, Al Amin, Arafat, Hider and Taijul from this Dhaka Premier League. Still not convinced in someone like Anamul – has yet to score a century despite being one of the top run scorers. BCB needs to reorganize these A tours especially away from home.

Liton, nazmul, hider, saifuddin should be in contention currently. Afif I know is young but he's also been very good at the backend of innings so if we really don't have enough fire power at the backend then maybe he might be in contention in a year or so contending for the spot that mehedi and nasir currently take up, taking into account he also bowls some spin.

Anyone got any footage of afif batting?

Check my previous post on him. He did a switch hit for six. Again, I must repeat this line, 17 years old guys, 17 years!!! I don't know which is more impressive though, the switch hit for 6 or the fact that he impresses me at 17 like this. He will surely play Bangladesh one day but first he needs to play U-19 WC and gain some muscle mass.

Abu Hider Rony wasn't given enough chances. He bowls aggressive, has a good seam presentation; can bowl a good slower. He can also bring the ball back into the right-handers.

Has a decent yorker from what I've seen also. I think he should definitely get some chances in ODIs although it's pretty tough atm with mash, fizz, taskin and rubel. But once mash retires a spot opens up which I'd say currrent contenders are al amin, rony and saifuddin but saifuddin maybe the favourite due to his batting ability.

Only one I can think of is imrul but I guess it'd be a somewhat controversial call to make.

Ok well if that's the case then it's an easy swap of nurul for liton.

tbh I wouldn't mind shanto getting a spot either, he's been doing well and probably out of any batsmen in or around the national team he's the most specialised as a number 3 (even though he alternates between 3/4). I think the time around the national team would be really beneficial for everyone in the long run.

The way Riyad was performing, would have been easy for Shanto or Liton to come in.

But Riyad just had a very good tri series.

So chances are very hard they will get picked. It's good for us tho. More competition

No officially. He is the the 16th man travelling with the squad in case of emergency (i.e. mushy getting injured).

Next series is at home and we usually pick 14 man squad, 15 max so Liton will find very hard to get in...

Only player he can replace is kayes, but even Kayes average 35+ in last 2 years of odi lol

But I do questions these run fest.

Savar pitch 3 and pitch 4 nowhere near a Int grounds size wise (these grounds are barely 50 yards lol) so all these sixes are most likely to be caught at the boundary in INT games. Nothing to get excited at the same time..
