I'm suprised to see Bashar and Sanwar still in the squad after their performances in the world cup. I wanted to see Biddyut back in the side. Good to see Tareq Aziz being recalled, not sure why Talha is still in, he needs a break.

I don't understand why they haven't consider seejan for this tournament although he had a good WC. He was good with both bat and bowl

Default Mashrafee will get time to regain 100% fitness

Mashrafee said that the physio had declared him fit.

But obviously, declaring fit by physio is not enough.

Since we all know what he is capable of and what did he show in the first 2 world cup games.

It was simply an ordinary performance by Mashrafee.

If you'd remember, Mashrafee bowled John Davison out on a very good ball. And that is, what he is capable of, not just firing balls on the leg side of a right handed batsman - that is what he did mostly after the initial first spell in each game.

But I think that this is good for him because we don't need him on heavenly good batting pitches of Bangladesh where the only test for pacers like him is physical fitness and physical strength. But say for an example, on the Australia tour, we need a skillful player like him.

I think Bdi coach is more appropriate for our player bcz I think they have some problems with International coaches. Would any one want to focus more on the coaches...I don't have much idea

Sarwar Imran has coached the Bangladesh Team before. He usually fills in between foreign coaches. I don't think we have a problem with foreign coaches, Its just that our last two foreign coaches were rubbish (Mohsin and Trevor). We improved a lot under Greenidge and Barlow. Anyway, I think Imran will do fine for the time being but at the end of the day, we need a foreign coach with experience at the highest level.

As for the team, I am glad to see Opee and Golla back. Rokon is the only surprising exclusion but I think it was a good idea. We have to understand that the quality of these players are not any different from the ones that played the world cup. We will just have to wait and see whether these guys are stronger mentally. Right now, we need fighters more than anything.

Default Al Shahriar shouldnt be brought back.....

Right now rokon is useless player.........
Most irresponsible player I have ever seen...

It was wrong to bring Rokon as opener....
He could better if he was used in 5th or 6th position.....

Selecting Rokon ..leaving opening batsman like Golla, Opi Bidyut was a wrong decision...........

ehsan....
About Seejan..... how could say he did well in WC......he was included as a batsman not as a bowler.... well yes he did well in bowling against WI ..... but his batting was horrible......
Now we cant include him as a bowler....
His ommision was a correct decision.....

I think this is the BEST team Bangladesh saw in last 4 years......

Result wise, the best team we ever hosted was the first test team.

That team gave us the one and only 400 run innings.

Default Imran

As far as I know, the cricketing community in BD has a very high respect for Sarwar Imran. He *should* have better control over the team than Trevor or Mohsin. Whether this translates into better performances is ofcourse, anybody's guess.

I think if he does reasonably well as a coach, he should be given a longer term committment. Either that or get a proper top-level international coach.

Actually Seejan was in the team ahead of Golla because of his bowling.

I don't think Seejan's performance was that bad comparing to others as say for Sanwar and Bashar they got nothing in the World Cup 2003.
