The Perks Of Being A Wallflower (IMDB|Rotten Tomatoes)

The story line is very generic and formulaic but the actors backed it with a punch and makes the movie very heartfelt and arouses sympathy in the viewer. Loved it!

The Hobbit was whimsically amazing, best film of the decade.

L-O-V-E-D it! DDL is Abe as I've always imagined him to be, and SF is also amazing as MTL. This isn't the usual unsubtle SS epic tearjerker. Instead we get to know the great man and what makes him great through a single legislative process, namely the passage of the 13th Amendment permanently outlawing slavery, before the end of the Civil War.

I watched the Hobbit yesterday as well! The storyline was slightly disappointing and the ending was quite abrupt but it was a visual treat. (An incredible ad for New Zealand haha)

Well its only one third of a story, so yeh, the ending would be abrupt, and the storyline would be unfulfilled.

And yes another ad for the land of the Kiwi

Watched a few movies and documentaries lately

1. Catfish (IMDB|Rotten Tomatoes)

My reaction after watching this movie is, . It's just a sad story but tells us the dangers of online dating. A gripping story!

2. Indie Game: The Movie (IMDB|Rotten Tomatoes)

This movie is about indie game developers, whose passion for connecting with the world is through games and tells the hardship about the whole DIY thing and the hurdles and sacrifices they've to make for the career they've chosen.

3. Safety Not Guaranteed (IMDB|Rotten Tomatoes)

This is a good movie, which tells us about people who are lonely and are in want of someone to find peace and comfort while taking that leap based on a trust.

4. The Words (IMDB|Rotten Tomatoes)

The less I talk about this movie, the better. It's about a struggling author who steals and publishes a story from an unknown author and is later confronted by the original author.

Few of the movies I've seen recently:

TED: Funny little movie I must say. Didnt have much expectation and so turned out to be an enjoyable one. More suited for male 21-26 but still a good light hearted 1.5 hours. ofcourse Mila Kunis helps. 6.5/10

ARGO: Intense and captivating, Ben Affleck was brilliant both as Director and Actor.
It was good to go back in time where technology, or rather lack of it, made all the difference.
8/10

TOTAL RECALL : Kate Beckinsale was probably the highlight of the whole movie. The rest is nothing to write about. Colin Farrell is no Arnie. 5/10

SKYFALL : Watched it at theaters, thanks to Cineplex who had earliest ever release of a Hollywood blockbuster in Bangladesh. The movie was released a mere 20 todays within its first release in US market so a different experience for us Dhakaites.
Loved the movie. Definitely not the Bond you would have expected but its worth it.
7.8/10

LOOPER : Just started watching the other day, but couldnt finish. Will have to rewatch the whole thing from the beginning but looking forward to it.

I really liked it. It's a very moving film. Heard apparently its a copy of The Notebook but since I haven't watched the original I had a great time. I would definitely recommend. I've watched just 2 Hindi films in the last 3 years. This one and 3 Idiots and both were exceptionally good!
