Bangladesh Vs England, A Comparison.
Alaistar Cook (30.52) = Tamim Iqbal (28.39) Although Tamim can easily be given a slight advantage as he is more aggressive, he can throw away his wicket cheaply when he gets a start, whereas if cook can start, he can be a handy batsman. This area is almost deadlocked as to who will deliver more for us.
Craig Kieswetter (0.00) = Imrul Kayes (31.40) Kieswetter might be the better batsman, but don't forget this is his first match. He's still young and can play rash shots any time. Kayes on the other hand has been picking up a few runs in this version of the game, and could well support Tamim.
Kevin Pietersen (45.41) > Faisal Hossain (8.75) Pietersen is Pietersen and Faisal is Faisal. However, Pietersen's recent form has been terrible and if that continues, he isn't very dangerous. Faisal is a newcomer, and if he plays I dont expect more then 30 runs from him (which is 25 more than I expect from Ashraful.)
Paul Collingwood (36.11) > Aftab Ahmed (25.02) This might be the biggest mismatch against us in the whole team. Collingwood is in form, a great fielder, and can bowl a bit. Aftab is out of form. If I had to get one person out cheaply in the England team, it'd be Collingwood. Aftab (if played) possibly wont get half the Collingwood score.
Eoin Morgan (35.70) < Sakib Al Hasan (34.75) Don't be fooled by the averages. Sakib can provide support from both batting and bowling. He can be a real threat with his strike rate of 76. He seems to be scoring at a much more better rate. He got runs with the bat in NZ , and that gives him much more confidence.
Luke Wright (22.52) < Mohammed Mahmudullah (31.72) Mahmudullah has already become a force and he can bowl a bit better then Wright. He's become the occasional off-spinner too, which really helps against a team like England. Wright on the other hand, hasn't proven much and still needs time to sort out his bowling.
Matt Prior (24.24) = Mushfiqur Rahim (22.91) If Rahim could keep the catches in his hand, he would've got the upper hand. He is more experienced and can hold down the bottom order easily. He also has the capabilities to hit a few sixes. Prior can be dangerous also.
So BD WINS!

Wow, this thread all of a sudden has me feeling better. Lets not allow KP to score 200 in one innings, and we are good.

I'm gonna take this thread with enough salt. But, inexplicably, this had me feeling a lot better about our chances. May be that was the sole intention.

He made a rather poor first impression back in 03. But I'm all for giving him a chance.

Oh that's sad
I think imrul also made first impression poor
but he has century next to his name
people shouldn't judge Faisal by only one match he played
he isvery consistent which is very rare in bd cricket
he has scored heavily for last couple years
highest century, highest 6 , good average
he deserve a chance here
if u talk abt going forward or backward--- those theories are rubbish
if Australia and other great team has player who got debut at 30 up age, why can't we
age is just a number
30--35 is thebest time for batsman

I am looking forward to Paul Collingwood's batting, he has been in tremendous form, would love him to score a quick century. Also hope Kevin Pietersen gets his form back. Wish I was in Bangladesh could have taken pictures of the English team.
