Default Cricket in Mirpur from next year\'s February

That's a very welcome news, I will be interested to know if International cricket will be staged or just domestic cricket.

I have been around the Mirpur stadium as my relatives stay in Mirpur.

Its surrounding areas have some very busy roads - if you have been there in the last 5 to 10 years, then you'll know.

One thing that I don't understand is why the football federation people call Mirpur stadium to be a far away place to stage big football matches like Abahani-Mohammedan - Its not like Uttara or Tongi or something.

ICC is funding the Mirpur stadium reconstruction. They gave the master plan. So I guess its being tailor made for international matches.

I didn't know that. Thanks for the info. Mirpur of Pakistan is what Sylhet is to Bangladesh in U.K.
