my mesery has lifted!
My misery has lifted from now on. I have something to cheer for a long time. We needed this victory: our boys did an outstanding job to which most of us will never forget. Thank you boys’ way to go! This is the just the beginning; everyday should be watching our boys right now.

from cricinfo
Mahmud was one of three run-outs to hamper Bangladesh's progress in the closing overs, but with Ashraful seeing the ball like a football, it made little impact on their run-rate.
Ash rules.

Ashraful, now firmly restored to favour after a spell on the sidelines, creamed a half-century from just 31 balls, and received excellent support from Mahmud, the recently deposed captain, who made 22 from 16 balls with two fours and six over midwicket off Doug Hondo, before being run out by a direct hit from Ray Price. :tiger:

CAN YOU BELIEVE
after 5 years we won, and I missed it because of stupid Industrial Organization class! How pathetic am I?
Anyway, what a great day this is for all of us, and I'm especially glad that I'm being able to share it with all the old BanglaCricket people who I have shared so much agony with over the last three and a half years!
Well played to the team. We managed to keep cool and Aziz's last over was awesome!
As for Ash, what a player he can be when he wants to.
I still say we promote him up the order. He is better than just a last minute slogger and if he can bat 30 overs every match, we are going to consistently score big.
Now that we have won one after a long time and the players know what its like, we will be a different team I hope!

As usual, I always miss the good moments in Banglacricket.com ; but I'm so glad we have 500+ post string here. I was able to live the excitement !
My dad called me from Dhaka just when we had won. I could hear the sounds from the TV on the background.
This is a historic moment. I am so proud of our team. Hip Hip Hoooray for Bangladesh!

I am glad to see Ashraful in good form. Its good to see that he has sorted out most of his issues.
Eventually he needs to be our no. 3 batsman. But I dont mind seeing him hang around at this position for sometime. Ash shepherding the tail will bring us some valuable last minute runs.
