Default Coaches for moving forward

The rumour says that BCB will not continue with the current head coach Steve Rhodes. Also the bowling coach Courtney Walsh is expected to leave as soon as the team goes back home.

The current batting coach Neil Mckenzie has shown proven positive impact on the batting. This team was known to be the worst team facing bouncers. The same team has shown good skills against bouncers in this world cup. Neil Mckenzie had his contract valid till this world cup. We should immediately renew his contract.

Spin bowling coach Sunil Joshi has impressed me with his works with the spinners. We need the continue with him.

Fielding coach Ryan Cook is known as a good fielding coach. But he could not show any improvement on our fielding. But our boys are known to choke under pressure during fielding. I am ready to give him another 6 months to see if he can do anything.

Immediately need a good head coach and bowling coach. IPL effect made it very hard to find full time coaches these days.

Thoughts?

I was thinking of Mike Hesson; but I don't think he will coach any International sides right now. It will be difficult to get any coach like it happened a year back.

Need a competent bowling coach who can spoon feed our bowlers badly.

Don't think changing fielding coach will do much difference, these same guys field like world class in different games, so its all mental

Kutni Walsh should go. Heath streak made our Pacers Asian best. Walsh made them worse than Nepal Pacers.

BCB may take help of Gary Kirsten once again for selecting the head coach and bowling coach. We must invest in right coaches.

Walsh should have been sent home from.the world cup, even a guy from the streets of Dhaka won't be able to make our bowling any worse than what it was we saw. Complete deterioration

We need proper tough coach, not fake tough coach like Hathurisingho. Someone who will strip Rahim off the gloves on day 1.

Caution - The best player need not be a good coach and an obscure player may actually be a good coach.

I am more interested in Bangladesh domestic cricket. I think some of them should play in India's Ranji Cricket and BCCI should make an exception from the rule that only domestic players can play Ranji.

Australia has Sheffield Shield, England has county cricket and India has Ranji. That is the feeder system for churning out players.

I am not aware how it is done in Bangladesh.

I want Streak back as the head coach. That also fills the gap if Walsh finally leaves. Have Ramanayake promoted to the national team if Streak can't handle both roles.

Since Mackenzie only wants to work with LOI teams (or is it ODI only?), we should bring Salahuddin back as the Test team batting coach.

If any coach to be credited for Shakib's rise as a batsman, it should be Salahuddin.

I mean if Shakib if wanted, he can easily force BCB's hand in adding Salahuddin to the coaching staff.

Heath streak could not take Zim to world cup. Zim lost to UAE in Zim

May be streak is not a good head coach, as a bowling coach for our spoon feeding mentality players he is the right guy

Or keep Salahuddin as his own personal coach, to hop along with him to different T20 leagues. Shakib prolly can afford to pay Salahuddin more from his own pocket, on top of what Salahuddin makes from his BPL and DPL gigs.

Yeh but its more advantageous for him to be coaching a team than just Shakib.

He seems like a very analytical and observant person if he can see where Shakib goes wrong and advise/mentor him in the spots and technical aspects to improve. Apply that to the rest of the team and results multiply.

But then again for players like Tamim and Mushfiq its all mental and there is little he can do to fix that, but he might do wonders for the newer players and others like SS and Liton.

Rhodes needs to be sacked. The guy was hired for his knowledge of 'English conditions'. Its clear that didnt work as we are sitting on 8th and most possibly been 10th if Shakib didnt bat.

He is a massive downgrade to Hathuri and there is a reason why international teams have not hired him in the past. Sack him while he is in the UK so we can at least save the cost of his business class flight to Dhaka.

The less said about Walsh the better. The dude is shameless. Has been masquerading as a 'bowling coach' for the past couple of years. We had the worst fast bowling unit in the world cup. Fizz gets thrashed for 70 runs every match, Rubel is clueless and Taskin has disappeared. No new proper upcoming fast bowlers. The guy single handedly undid all the work streak did for us. BCB should get rid of this pathetic loser if they had any sense.
