Issue is Tamim and seniors have upper backing. They’ve become powerful, no one else pushing them. How does Mullah get back after injury in place of Sabbir who did well against India? Seniority, and we all saw Mullahs test innings. Sabbir had this something he can take the game away, he has the big shots. I thought he looked good against India. But senior had to come in. Mossadekk seems irreplaceable, because of his heroics tri series final. LOL

This was one game Bangladesh played very badly. They are a much better team than this as seen in matches V/s Aus, NZ, India, WI

Mashrafe Mortaza: "I think both matches - last two matches - Shakib batted so well but we couldn't get partnerships. Game was 50-50, think we could've chased it, but partnerships were missing. I want to say sorry for Shakib, if we stepped up the tournament could've been different. Batted, bowled, fielded well - he was fantastic. Some important matches, our fielding wasn't good. It cost us a lot. Batting was fantastic. Mustafizur, starting from his career, he was unplayable. He got injured, but since our Ireland tour he's been really good. Hopefully no injuries for him in the future. Real asset for Bangladesh cricket. We are not satisfied. Could've finished the World Cup on a good note, but end of the day, we've had a 50-50 World Cup. You give your 100%, and sometimes you need a bit of luck - but it's never been with us. I will go home and rethink of my career, and then make a final call. Thanks to all supporters - present all over the ground and back home. They keep supporting us. Hopefully next time we will make them happy."

Played like BD of pre 2015.

A big mess up of the chase. At this stage when Shakib and Liton batting BD looked still in it, if these too had a big partnership, taking it deeper. But tbh from their fielding, bowling, general attitude in the field it was like as they were demotivated, disinterested, fielding cost extra 20-30 runs.

1) nothing to think about, just retire.
2) feel like the whole team should apologize to Shakib

Shaheen Shah is pure class. good bowler.

As I stated in first match, being out of semi finals contention affected our overall performance. no big deal. move on and build for 2023.

What a pathetic performance by our team (excluding Shakib and Mustafiz.) I have lost my words. You are playing at the Lord's. If you score a century or get a fifer - your name is etched on the board. Add World Cup stage to it. You should automatically be motivated and hungry for the success, and give your best at fielding, batting, and bowling. PAK showed up today with their gameplan, and BD left their's at the hotel. You couldn't win against IN because of the mental pressure you couldn't handle, you didn't win against PAK because of the lack of motivation to not play at the Semi-final.

And if anyone or any team needs to get their form back or make a record breaking history, they just need to play against us and trust me - we are generous in that department. Ask Eoin Morgan - he made a max number of Sixes against us or Afridi - he got 6 wickets at the Lord's and became the youngest to do so at the World Cup.

The match thread was terrible.
Clearly, the OP has not seen the effort being put in when match threads are created. What's with this bland opening post on a match thread ?

^^ When Shingara becomes as wise and old as MohammedC bhai, he will learn how to enjoy a cricket match with a light heart, without getting too emotionally involved.

the red jersey by itself is nice. But the red jersey with green pants is a horrible look. We should have a dark blue or black pants, would make the red pop, similar to India's orange jersey/dark blue pants. No rule that says pants also have to be flag colors.

100% agree. Green pants look horrible with red T-shirt. It should have been black.

Khet. That jersey and worse thing is BD played twice against Pakistan last two ICC events and got hammered both times. 2016, 2019. This shade of red makes Bangladesh look so inferior for some reason. If they are going to make a red jersey, try something like the Liverpool FC jersey colour last few seasons.
