This is very unfortunate. We had a tremendous start and set the world cup on fire only to finish tamely. SA wasn't a bad team. It was their loss against us that took the wind out of their sail. Same with WI. They had destroyed Pak, barely lost to Aus, and were on top against SA before the game got washed out. They lost their way after losing to us. Our turning point was the loss to NZ and since then it's been all downhill.

Now that rain has washed out our encounter against SL, it is easy to be cocky and overconfident and say that we would have beaten them. With comical fielding and bowling we had, there was no guarantee of beating them.
