Tomorrow will decide that. If we can beat Pakistan then we can brag about being no 2.

The difference between Bangladesh and Pakistan for the 2nd spot is marginal. Sometimes Bangladesh is ahead and sometimes Pakistan is ahead. Tomorrow's game will be crucial for this. Also you missed out Afghanistan in that caption. They are ahead of Srilanka and will be good for the 2nd spot in the future.

After this WC people still put Afg before SL

Afg is quite a step behind still.

Afghanistan gets overrated the same way BD gets underrated.

IPL considers Nabi to be a better allrounder than Shakib

BD fans think Afghanistan will win the world cup before we do.

TBH I can understand why some people like Brendon and Flintoff put Afghanistan ahead, as its due to Rashid Khan's success in the IPL mainly and to some extent hidden sympathy. And tbh they did give India, SL and Pakistan a run for their money.

However I dont think they are above SL no matter how bad the team has become.

I think Afghanistan is slightly better than the other associates and could be at par with Zimbabwe. Nothing more than that.

I dont think they dont really have that batting depth to play a longer format than t20.

T20 cricket is skewing the perception of players and teams strengths in other formats , some people have a false sense of quality of individuals and teams due to this format. They think just because someone is man of the series in IPL he should also be dominating One Day Internationals

They will win the cup before we do. If not the ODI one the T20 one for sure.

I have said it before..none of the current members here will live long enough to see BD winning a world cup

I would say to you to bookmark this post but both of us will be dead so it doesn't matter

If before 2015 someone recited to you Bangladesh's performance in the next 4 years including our test wins and series wins vs Ind, SA, Pak what would you have told them? Crazy? Delusional?

A lot can happen in next four years , after the last world cup we found Mustafizur , discovering another gun batsman or bowler to add to the team will vastly strengthen the team.

Must say Pakistan turned things around quite spectacularly in the second half. They had only 1 win in the first 5 games. Then won 4 in a row and narrowly missed the semis. Their lopsided loss in the first game against WI with 37 overs to spare was too much to overcome.
