Default Mashrafe Mortaza-Worst world cup ever for a player?

Is this the worst world cup for a player who played all of his team's match?

Those are good numbers. He's going to be a fine player in the future. -- Oh wait, he's not a batsmen?

Na parey Bat korte, na pare fielding korte... na parey ball korte.

Trying his best to avoid critical time and bowl his overs in less critical time here and there, but still bleeding runs.

Pathetic situation for a great player...

His presence in the bowling line up making attacking combination toothless, not threatening. Wish he take immediate retirement from international games, not being shameless as he might become.

Its time to make the call the braveheart, dont disappoint us the fans.

He will continue in the team after WC either under captain or MP quota. Relax!

Has he actually announced his retirement? Many of you were saying that he is protecting the player's feelings blah blah and will announce it after the match. The only thing he has definitively said is that this is his last World Cup match. I wouldn't be surprised at all given our ODI schedule over the next year or so if he just puts his feet up and collects that 4 lakhs per month. He has seriously tarnished his legacy.

World Cup over but he hasn’t announced anything , he said he will go home and think about it. Anyways damage has been done and he has played all the World Cup games with such form , and our bowling attack has suffered as a result with one less specialist bowler. But most of the BD people are more concerned with Tamim it seems.

Nah he just came along to enjoy a free vacation.

Him and Tamim can compete for most useless sack of

People want to cite his captaincy...well this idiot won tosses and chose to bowl (we got lucky with the WI game)

Problem is majority of the average BD fans outside Banglacricket are pretending his 350 bowling average doesn't exist and Tamim is the root of all failure , too much blind Faith in him. I feel like sharing some of the posts in social media. One would think Mashrafe was the second best player in the team in world cup reading those. When the majority think he is above criticism how can we expect Mashrafe to retire or even step aside for the good of the team.

I thought mash was beyond this. He was the braveheart the ultimate team player, our captain, our leader for whom we could give our all

But this WC showed the selfish side of mash and as a long term fan of mash the human I am finding it very hard to digest

Honestly Mash has tarnished his legacy. He should have retired after CT 2017. Maybe he continued just for the added attention he got all of a sudden.

Rumor is that Hasina wants him to continue till the BD vs World match next year March, to celebrate Sheikh Mujib's birthday.

As for now, Mash is set to lead the team in Sri Lanka for a three match ODI series later this month.

He is a much better bowler in subcontinent, hope he can carry his weight in Lanka.

We have all been hard at Mash. I bet some of us said things we would’ve never said about Mash here. It all comes down to, pushing the limit. Everything, has a limit. And Mash has gone beyond his limit, now literally being like a typical selfish desi, who wants to hang on for other reasons or because he is too emotional to leave. Whatever it is, he is clearly not being wise about the future of Bangladesh cricket.

Mash will lose every ounce of respect that I had for him if this is the case
