BDFlag **Match Thread 2nd T20I => Bangladesh v Zimbabwe at Khulna, Jan 17, 2016**

[Panta bhat or poitabhat is rice-based dish. It is prepared by soaking rice, generally leftover, in water overnight. Traditionally served in the morning with salt, onion and chili. It is consumed in Bangladesh ]

VERSUS

[Baked Garlic and Sage Kariba Bream ]

The Bangladesh team will be looking to go 2 up in this 5 match series, while Zimbabwe will be aiming to get their 1st win and prove that they are not finished yet.

Sabbir and Mustafizur were impressive along with the experienced Shakib (his batting). The visitors, under their new coach Attapatu, would have looked back at the 1st match and saw that at certain points that they had it under control.

A high scoring match may be on the cards..hopefully. Dew will continue to play a part in the second innings.

INTERESTING STATS:
- Shakib is only one wicket away from takng 400 wickets in international matches in all formats, and 4 wickets away from becoming the 1st Bangladeshi player to 50 T20I wickets.

-Hamilton Masakadza is the leading Zimbabwean batsman against Bangladesh with 175 runs.

-Mushfiqur has 40 dismissals in this format, of which 19 were caught as wicket-keeper ...interestingly, he has 21 stumpings.

Bangladesh may need to swap a batsman for a bowler...or a batsman for a batsman.

In both scenarios, it's Hom who will make way.

Shuvogota Hom is not deadwood yet?

The future is with young players. Not necessarily young players I should say, but new players.

We are a much better side with the likes of Soumya, M'fizur, Taskin, Sabbir around. Other talents need to be given a go in all national squads.

Take Hom out, put AH Rony in.

Ok Hom was taken as a power hitter based on BPL, lets give the guy one more match in this role. Last game he didn't have the chance of what he was doing(or trying to do) in BPL

Nurul Hasan is the second best T20 specialist batsmen in the country.

Yet to prove, but when it clicks for him, than you would know what I mean.

I won't Drop him, he should play in all the four matches, let him bat at 4 (in one match)

Mullah can be rested for 1-2 match to accommodate Hom (so that he gets a fair chance)

I cooked bream 3 weeks ago Bangladeshi style, the fish was ok but the tomatoes I used were too sour.

On topic
As much as I want Hider to play but i think Hom deserves one last chance.
Besides its our batting that is week.

in T20 you can get away with a bad WK, so I want to take nurul if he makes it as a Batsman first. in BPL Hom's SR was better then Nurul so I want to try him at least once in that power hitter at the death position before totally discarding him

Hom made his debut in the last Match...might be unfair if he is dropped.

I recant my earlier lineup and drop riyad.

Thanks mufi...BC is gold. Gotta cherish it.
Another plate of rice will make u restless...lol

It's touch and go, Rony might play. Hom should stick in the side.

Let's wait and see what the composition will be.
