Bangladesh and New Ball Rule: The Danger
I come to realise why Indian are struggling in the first few overs in ODI cricket, the new ball. This was very evident while we played againt West Indies where our top order collapsed few times. I am very worried at seeing how pacers are taking advantage of the new ball. please share your opinion on how our top order batsmen can tackle this new ball issues? and do we have the right batsmen to tackle the new ball pacers, even Pakistan batting struggled against ordinary pacers from India.

Don't worry. BD team is full of openers.

our top order normally collapses before the bowlers loosen up and properly uses the advantage of the new ball, normally its our middle order who needs to face the venom of the new ball.
anyway struggled when WI bowled with two new balls. perhaps we need to stop playing cricket when quality bowlers of quality teams take advantage of new ball against us. we will be totally doomed

We need to learn how to adapt. I think the boys have adapted well, the rule was in for about 1.5 years

I am pretty sure we can chase India's total even collapsing, haha...
But on a serious note, those kind of pitch's in India, I think we will struggle.

How about introducing new balls rule in domestic cricket like DPL to groom younger cricketers and old ones in facing the new balls?

Great Idea
But i am pretty sure the rules of DPL will or already has changed accordingly. Is there any list A tournament in our domestic calender?

India struggle because we're terribly out of form as a unit. And we had more non-flat pitches. Otherwise our openers love the new ball in flat pitches. It works both ways with the white ball.
BD pacers are decent in ODI opening overs, but tests are a whole diff story.

Lot to think about with the new ball room and fielding restrictions. The spinners will have hard time, and the bowling always have to be attacking. India showed yesterday what is expected of fielding from the restrictions - ODIs are becoming attacking from a bowling/fielding point of view. I like that. Time to have a balance between batting and bowling/fielding - and this is in the right direction.
Lot to think about from BD (even if the new ball part was there already during the WI sessions).

that would make it really hard for middle order batsmen... remember not everyone is technically equipped to play with seaming swinging deliveries, thats why not everyone can be an opener or number 3. ... white ball is really easy to seam and swing when new. You have test matches to test techniques of batsman. To make ODI attractive you need to have players like Ashrafuls and Yuvraj's, who are great hitters but bad when the ball is seaming.

I'm confused. Is the OP really referring to the two new balls from both ends? That's been around for ages.
For me it's the new 2 bouncer per over rule that will cause issue for our players in ODIs, especially on bouncy pitches. Lord save us in the next WC.

Get a specialist batting coach from Australia. Someone who can help the batsmen to handle non stop bouncers ....

Several new rules, in general, were going against Bangladesh's strength, spin and bangladesh's weakness (against pace while batting). But that is the game now, and there is no point talking about that. We need to accept it for what it is and learn to live with it.

But that is the thing exactly Rubu Bhai - we need to talk about it and create measures.

This will make bowlers who can swing the new ball more effective. For us, that would mean Shafiul and stepson.
