I love this guy's commentary. I'm very disappointed by what he said, but justice has been done. The likes of TEN sports and ESPN/STAR need to ensure that this guy doesn't find an employment in the subcontinent again.

What an idiot.
He's lost the plot.
How is it possible for someone in his position to let something like that slip out of their mouth?
What was on his mind at the time? lol

Apparently they have not only sacked him but kicked him out of the country. Probably one of the biggest screw up in commentary history. The guy was probably tried a casual joke without knowing the consequence. Still not sure he really meant it or tried to get a laugh. Its a pity, he has not chance to get back in the future. Media is a funny game.

How can calling a Muslim cricketer with a beard a "terrorist" possibly be funny? I'm pretty sure it was intentional when he said "it was never supposed to be heard over the air".. He was probably itching to say it all along and got caught red-handed..
Well racism has no place in cricket or any sports, this issue has been done to death - yet I don't know why it persists!
Glad to know that justice has been served.. Idiots like him need to look past the beard and see there is a human being just like you and me.

I use to love his batting. He was "the man" in his time. Didn't care much about his commentary. But I don't buy his jokingly part. If he was really joking then why would he say, " for anybody who was tuned in: "the terrorist has got another wicket"?

"In the long run, I wasn't even really referring to him. What was my comment? And who got the wicket? Amla got the catch, Nicky Boje was the bowler. Just listen to the comment. The terrorist got a wicket. Who got the wicket? I'll leave it up to you to work out who I was referring to."
Sure Mr. Jones, it was probably Santa Claus.

"Unfortunately I chased a shocking ball and got out to the worst shot in the world."
Dean Jones explains away his "terrorist" comment that got him slung off commentary duties

The person who he called terrorist... its his nickname. So in a way yes it was an off air joke. But obviously will all the media and peop listening its a big thing. He let it slip. Big deal. there are no bad feelings towards any of the parties involved. Im not sayin its right to call someone a terrorist as i said it was a nick name. When we talk bout other players its usualy the nickname to say...
