Default Going to New Delhi - Any suggestions?

I have seen many advice-seeking threads in this forum in the past and has always been amazed by the variety and efficacy of advice coming from different people. Hoping for some good ones here.

I need to go to New Delhi for a few days (work related). Spousal permission was available only after promising some Desi apparel shopping. Any suggestion on what the best places for shopping around New Delhi are? I'll probably not have more than a few hours for shopping, so efficiency and availability of variety is important. To be precise, I'll be staying in the Noida area ... south-east outskirts of ND.

Also, any other relevant suggestion would be appreciated.

Gurgaon has good shopping malls ... I like walking around aimlessly and exploring the old Delhi myself ... outstanding architecture and food ... have fun ...

Khan Market & Gurgaon ... thanks for the two good suggestions so far.

Miraz / Sohel,

These two places are more like Gausia Market or more like Eastern Plaza ... just trying to get some bearing in case I need to choose one due to lack of time.

Probably a blend of both.

Here's a video on Khan Market for you.

Khan Market is a bit expensive but you will find exclusive items. We liked it during our visit back in 2004.

If you want a number of choices, the following website will be useful.

Going in a couple of weeks. I will definitely remember about Red Fort.

Sohel,
Gurgaon looks to be a gold mine for shoppers Thanks for the pointer.

Miraz,
Khan Market looks nice ... I am especially gonna check out the Hookka joint Thanks for the great suggestion, and for the city guide link.

Omio,
I will go with the assumption that Delhi Police is no different from DMP ... that ought to keep me safe. But like others, I am curious - what happened??
