They're both aggressive batsmen who take the game to their opponents. Tamim had similar Strike rate to Kapali in 2009, but now it is healthy. Alok will do the same given the opportunity.

No I will not. I do not see the specialness behind Tamim. It's like you don't want him to be like Tamim. Why wouldn't you? If he was, it would be better for us!

Alok deserved to get in ahead of Ash. But if it were up to me I'd stop recycling both of them and just move on.

I dont get this. why was kapali in the aussie series and why was he subsequently dropped. he bowled well against the aussies, batting was a bit rusty coming in at no 7 but not a failure in the ONLY match he got to play after so long.

So why drop him??

This team is very inexperienced. That's why wanted to have alok there in the xv. Experience matters in test.

Looks like supporting ash or alok can be very controversial here...chill bro we all want the best for bd. Your thought processes could be different than mine but at the end of the day our goal is same...

maybe becoz of they wanted an extra batsman rather than having four AR (Riyadf, Nasir, Alok & Sir{as hhe himself consider an ar now})

^^^ My thoughts exactly. He didn't do anything wrong. In fact, he went to get an 80 & 90 in the next domestic game. Most underrated player to play for Bangladesh after Nazmul.

Exp doesn't always work specially for BD. plus Alok didn't played a test for more than 5 yrs now and haven't done any extraordinary in fc matches in between to be in there so i agree with all the ppl who r against his test inclusion.

but, i 100% agree. it is very unfair to drop Alok!! shob dush Ash er!!! blaming the selectors too. they cannot sleep without him

let me make it clear. tamim is an attacking OPENING batsman.an attacking opening batsman may suit for test matches bt an attacking middle or lower middle order batsman doesn't suit for test matches(there may be a few exceptions) .Alok is definitely talented bt what's the use of talent without implementation? ALOK in odi squad will be ok bt im happy that he is not in the test squad.if he had been selected and failed in the test match then he would have also lost his position in the odi squad.I dont want him to be like tamim bt i want him to do better than tamim. bt he has to grab his LIMIted chances BRO. THERE IS some serious competion in the team. god may bless him and BANGLADESH ( sorry for grammatical mistakes )

Why Bangladeshi selectors are in love with Sir Ash??

I just realised Rok is not even in the reserves. Another retirement coming up?

And I think Alok failing in the practice match may have contributed to him being dropped. But then again so did Ash.

This time, no one but Siddons won't care... And like that will make any difference anymore.

Ash has an average of 19 in tests and 20 in ODI against Zim has got a recall?I am surprised specially as he included in test team. His performance in FC matches against SA A was also poor.To me Naeem was a better choice than Ash in longer version.I expected Naeem in the team.
Another point to me is inclusion of Shuvagoto is a bit premature.Razzak in ODI is Ok but not in test team.
Overall i am not happy with the team.
