Still 70 runs. Anything can happen. Keep it up boys. I wish our National players could play this game against the SL Academy team. They need a practice match before the test series.

Wow, both Nazumuddin and Raqibul is showing their consistency for a while. Time to score some big tons now and definitely they will soon start knocking the national door very loudly.

Na bhai, Academy team bujhassi.

You can consider the following hierarchy

National Team
A Team
Academy Team/ Development Squad
U-19 Team
Other age group teams.

I think 260 in first innings is not enough to win matches... I hope we can score well in the second innings and put some pressure on the Srilankans batting on the 4th day.

I am all excited to see all these batting prospects doing well for the academy team but what worries me is our lack of depth in quality bowlers. I haven't seen any good pacers coming up from the under-19 or academy team who can realistically challenge the big boys in the national team. Dollar sounded promising but now he is struggling to find a place in the academy team.

Very, very disappointed with Enamul Haque. He had no impact during the final of the tri-series, and he produced nothing yesterday.

Its actually 349/10

Well, BD boys really have to bat well to save this match. Shouldn't be that difficult though. They have already knocked off half of the lead. Just have to put their heads down tomorrow and grind hard. The first session tomorrow will be the most crucial! In fact, the entire day!

Mehrab is still unbeaten.

DS: Riyad keeps hosts in hunt

Off-spinner Mahmudullah Riyad took five wickets as Bangladesh Academy fought back on the third day of the first four-day match against Sri Lanka Cricket Academy at the Khulna Divisional Stadium yesterday.

The visitors were bowled out for 349 after having resumed their first innings on the overnight score of 190-2. Even though the hosts cut down on the lead by 52 runs, they still lost a wicket as they ended the day on 37 for one.

Riyad, the lanky off-spinner from Dhaka, took the important wickets of Ian Daniel (82), Nadeera Nawela (70) and then wrapped up the tail picking up the three of the last four wickets to fall. Interestingly, all of those last three wickets were legbefore decisions.

Right-handed batsman Nawela struck a patient 70 off 199 balls but the likes of Nisal Randika (34) and Prashantha De Silva (31) made sure the islanders had their lead.

Bangladesh Academy's left-handed opener Imrul Kayes (5) was the only man to fall as captain Mehrab Hossain was unbeaten on 18 while Nazimuddin partnered him with 11.

Another DS report says there will be a practice match for national team where academy boys Junaid Siddique, Nazmus Sadat, Dollar Mahmud, and Sajidul Islam, as well as fringe players Tushar Imran, Rajin Saleh, Alok Kapali, Nafees Iqbal, and Khaled Mashud will join the 14 member national squad to make two teams. Hoping for an exciting contest.

Really confused about Riyad. Cricinfo says he is medium pacer while TheWatcher mensioned him as off-spinner in the report. Which one is correct?
