Im pretty sure Riyad is an off spinner...Read it in a bunch of articles...Pretty interesting to note that even CricketArchive put him down as a medium pacer...

these guys just won't get out now, will they? 199 off 101 overs? nice
good game in the end. they dominated in the first inning, but we played it safe to pull off a draw. it will take us quite a while to be able to beat other teams here and there in the longer version. that's how all new teams (e.g. zimbabwe, sri lanka) start off - sri lanka was still a crappy test team when they won the world cup in 1996.

Excellent batting by the boys! Shows character!
Bd lads must stump their authority from the 1st innings on. So far (including Pak series), they have been shot out very cheaply in their 1st innings and got themselves on the backfoot and had to play catch-up. They really need to dig in and play out 130 overs -give or take- in the 1st innings.

One step at a time. First make sure we can bat as long as we can. With the bowling strength improving we will win inshallah.

Good bowling performance from the academy team. If we can bowl them out below 300, we will be in a good position before we start our first innings. Good bowling once again by Mahmudullah. Finally, they are giving Mahbubul Alam Robin a chance.

Hmm! They are batting 9 deep? Last wicket partnership is 62+. Geez!!! Anyways good first session. Hopefully they'll wrap it up early tomorrow.

This is what I picked up about those guys from different news articles -
Mahbubul Alam Robin is a medium fast, bowls around 80 mph.
Kamrul and Shafaq, I believe, are not fast enough to be considered for longer version matches (although they play in NCL).
Dollar ? Don't know what is going on with him. He was supposed to play in the practice match for the national team, but there was no mention of him in match reports. It seems he has not played any match since the A-team came back from Sri Lanka. Is he injured ?

For an aggressive spinner like Enamul Jr, it matters a lot how his captain sets up the field. I have noticed Enamul does well under some captains (Tushar, Alok), but not so well under others (Bashar, Rajin, and now Mehrab).

Still a disappointing return from him though. He's bowling at players who fall within his age group, and we've been going on the assumption that he's a class above those players.

This is important. What kind of bowler is Mahmudullah?? Can anybody confirm anything for certain? Conflicting reports....If hes a medium pacer, I think he should be looked at for the national team straight away. I know most ppl are against quick inclusions of new players, but like I said when everybody was against Tamim Iqbals inclusion....We arent Australia! The gap between the national players and the league players are decreasing..I think (if he continues to do well for a couple of more months) he shluld be chosen in place of Shahadat and given chances when either Rasel or Mash is injured/not doing well. Thats pretty much what Shahadats role in the team is now. Mahmuddulah will be in the 15 man squad by the end of the year. Mark my words...
