I think BCB should target every Divisional stadium and transform them or try to transform them into international venue. One at a time. BCB should not rush. Whether they start with Rajshahi, Khulna,Sylhet or Barishal it does not matter.

Agree with the idea but its more important that Sylhet plays 1st class cricket in SYLHET! Contrary to what some poster have mentioned above, Sylheties are very passionate about cricket and have produced a good many talents.

There is no point asking to turn major city in Bangladesh in to international venue if BCB does not have full facility for those ground. Look at Chittagong Divisional Stadium on second day rain stopped around 11am local time but we did not see any sign of cricket up to 0430pm.

If we are to build only ONE facility I would suggest Cox's Bazar. It'll bring in International tourist for cricket and they may end up coming back for the beaches and all. Good promotion for our tourism industry.
Give the second one to Sylhet.

With a good connection to Sylhet all my life I really feel bad about the continuous negligence from our leaders for Sylhet. The panaromic beauty of Zaflong was brutally buchered by stone traders and my two tours to this place in couple of years with shocked experience during the second from the sweet memories of the first. Another beauty is Madhabkunda. Yes Sylhet has big prospect for cricket.

THEY ARE BUILDING ONE
Here is the site for the new Sylhet stadium (pointer points at my basha not the site) you should focus on the bright sandy section, the bright sandy bit used to be a hill, as high as a 5 storey building which had tea trees sloping from it, they have completely levelled it and the land is sligtly higher than the surrounding, the aerial photo isnt upto date as it doesnt show much, most of the foundation is already down, they've been doing construction for about 2 years now. you can see on the right there is the main road that leads to the airport which is about 7-8 kilometers north.

LOL no offence taken, yes its true that many eligable batchelors and ladies spend ther days hoping to find some Londoni bride or a groom to take them away to a life of lamb chops, Chicken Ticka and Morbid Obesety.
but i think you underestimate how passionate there is for cricket.

Sylhetis are very family-orienated and tightly-knit which partly contributes to the marrying thing and there is nothing wrong with that. It is one Bangladeshi marrying another Bangladeshi and having Bangladeshi children (not that there is anything wrong with marrying a non-Bangladeshi, I myself have recieved proposals from non-Bangladeshis in the past e.g. Pakistanis, Arabs and others).
Anyway in terms of cricket, trust me Sylhetis are really into it..hehe.
