Basher is acting like any player would. Players like Shoaib Akhtar who gets injured, hammered and then injured keeps talking about doing good in future. He too doesn't admit his failure that often.

Even though there is a mile difference between Bashar and Shoaib Akhtar, but their will is the same, stay in the team as long as you can. Eventually its the selectors or the cricket board who makes the call and decides who's in and who's out. In Bangladesh's case, selectors doesn't even consider the idea of taking off his captaincy, let alone drop him.

So rather than blaming Basher who does what anyone would do, the burden of blame falls on selector's shoulders.

Honestly speaking i dont mind bashar not retiring from one dayers.. BUT having said that I don want him to have the captaincy ! one thing is for sure ! As long as we have Bashar as the captain we wont be able to win one dayers ! the first one day against india.. well he has to be blamed for the defeat ! and well hez just not fit to be a captain... too scared ! But he is a good batsman... and i dont mind him not retiring.. but ya ... kick him out of the captaincy.. let ashraful be the captain !

If Bashar was so inspired by Ganguly to overturn his retirement decision, let him do sth like Ganguly tomorrow, day 3: score a hundred.

Well! money talks! At this point all I want is for him to relinquish captaincy. At least then he will only be selected if he can score a few runs...ad if he does pull his weight with the bat then he deserves to be in the team...look at Shahriar Nafees!

I am fine w/ it. i am sure BCB will appoint Ash as captain for Srilanka series and I do hope they pick Bashar as batsman. We still need some experience in the middle and hopefully he plays well in the test so that he gets more confident on scoring in ODIs.

onek members ekhane prochur galagali dichchen taake. If he does pull out something good, then is it fair for his well wishers do gala gali to those members?

Just shows he isn't any good in decision making. Problem is that Ganguly won't help him make these crucial decisions in the field where he needs to rack his brains.
