SA 459/7, day 2.
India could manage only 3 wickets today after 90 over.
Is it only for pitch condition?
When India planed their strategy with three spinners and only one pacer definitely SA made their game plan, innings run rate (2.5) is the indication of cautious attitude of SA.
Shourov was opening bowler, in test match, does not match with any!!

Did you guys see Shewag's superb stroke, I think it was with back foot support, both feet quite far apart but what a wonderful balance and stroke to midoff.
Furthermore, Gautum Gambhir's 6 to reach his 50 was stylish. Shot of the day.

Not a huge Shewag fan but all that talk of his "minimal footwork" seems a bit redundant, IMHO, when he gets going and is set, as was displyed today.

The Indian batsmen were offered light twice and they refused twice, the third time the umpires made them to go off the field for bad light !
It is the batsmen who normally appeal for light and in some cases it is the fielding side, but it was a unique case where the umpires were appealing for light.

It's gonna be a boring and pointless draw. Oh well, better for Pakistan in terms of the ICC test rankings...

Latest score on 4th day:
SA 510/9 decl
India 276/1 ( Sehwag 148*, Gambhir 96, Dravid 12*) in 68 overs
Dravid is going ballistic at the moment. If he survives till the end of the day, it may open up some interesting possibilities in this match. He has already completed 1000 test runs in this year.

>> Dravid is going ballistic at the moment
A bad typo
Sehwag hit 30 odd in two overs after lunch and just hit Peterson 15 in another. Completed 150 with a six. 164* at the moment.

well SA should be pretty happy with the way things turned out...I think they went into the match with their main priority being able to surve the quality spin they would face and for their inexperienced batsmen to get quality time out in the middle. We will probably (hopefully) see a more positive second test. Congrats to shewag...he is awesome to watch when in full flow.

This is why Hitler banned cricket in Germany... there was a test match going on and he asked his advisor to keep informing him of the results... and then after the five days his advisor who won the match... and the guy told him that it was a draw... Hitler then banned cricket from Germany... just a thought to ponder... what kind of a game wastes 5 days and then there is no result? they need to do something about draws.
