We don't know enough information about what happened... so agei BCB re blame korar kono maane nai... maybe Ian Pont has signed another deal elsewhere... maybe he is asking for a sum that is more than what BCB budgeted for... we don't really know what happened at this point...

No need to be so impatient guys. Ian has finished his contract, so officially his job with our team is over. But as they say that BCB is negiciating with him and if BCB has to keep him untill th eend of Aus series or beyond, they need to sign an agreement. with IAN.

Don't worry, if BCB was dare enough to keep JS for 4 years, they wont leave IAN PONT, so easily.

No concrete statement came out yet from either BCB or Ian. Seems like last minute negotiation is going on. Anything can happen with BCB. So, it wont be wise to comment right now. But i personally feel, both parties should be lenient towards each other in terms of conditions.

sure IAn Pont did not get much time to train the players he is also a member of banglacricket.com he probably saw that post about people writing asking wasim akram to be bowling coach that probably hurt his feelings , this shows how much we disrespect our coaches as fans

Sheesh, it is a like contract job. Nothing to do with what we say in this forum. BCB will examine our bowlers performance and decide if they want to continue with this coach or get a new one. Pont will put forward his new contract to BCB. If BCB likes the condition they will go ahead. Obviously there will be negotiations. If everything goes well we will have the same coach, if not we will have a new one. Simple as that.

Excellent assessment, eloquently stated.

I am disappointed to see Ian go if it is true, this is just speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if he was scared by what he saw on the forum-i'm not talking about tactics he didn't agree with or wasim akram being the coach etc-we are just fans and as an experienced coach of course there would be issues in which there would be diferences as he sees from the eyes of a coach and we see only what is shown in the media.

You can't expect instant success in 6 months. BD is too young a test nation also to have produced former players who have a sufficient grasp of the game in terms of the technicalities. Former players did their bit for the country as players in terms of effort but regarding the talent aspect and coaching I don't think they're of international standard. I wonder who the BCB may be thinking of now. Whatever allah does is for the best. Hope we get an even better coach.

for God's sake, do not say that Ian will not coach us because of getting hurt that some fans wanted Wasim or someone else as the bowling coach. If you are advocating for that view, you are undermining him as a professional.

Respect is not blind faith, respect is what one earns by his work.
