Default Next U-19 team for U-19 WC 2006

There are quite a few young players coming through the ranks and next U-19 WC will be an exiting tournament to follow, I guess. The team may look like as follows:

Batsman:
Golam Rahman
Rakibul Hasan
Mehrab Hussain Jr.
Shamsur Rahman
Sakib Al Hasan

Keeper:
Dhiman Ghosh
Mushfiqur Rahim

Pace bowling :
No idea!

Btw, who will host next U-19 tournament?

I dont think Dhiman will play another U-19 World Cup so they will just go with Mushfiqur (who is btw more talented and also younger).

On the bowling side, Dolar Mahmud will be leading the pace bowling side while Suhrawadi Suvro(another SLA!) will be the main spinner. Suhrawadi Suvro is having a good round in the National Championship and Khaled Mashud thinks he is bowling as good as Enamul Haque Jnr (hopefully it has nothing to do with the fact that Suhrawadi Suvro is also from the north-eastern part of the country). The emergence of so many quality SlAs(Suvro,Saqibul,Nabil,Arafat and Enamul) would make sure that we will have to field 2 SLAs in every match(test or ODI) for the next 15-20 years.

On the batting side, it's good to see atlast quality left handed batsman are coming up the ranks, and it looks like within the next 7 years we will have an equal share of right handed and left handed batsmen in our lineup.

where did Pilot say that about Shuvro? Exciting.

Could we trade some of our SLAs to other countries for some quality batsmen.

Read the sports section of Prothom-Alo(the match report of Rajshahi vs Sylhet).

These SLAs not not as good as they are made out to be. Had that been the case, most major teams would not score 500+ runs most of the time against Bangladesh bowling( which include these SLAs as well).

wish it worked like that, the way those major league sports run in North America. But this international cricket we are talking about!

What about the 8 fast bowlers discovered during the GP Pacer hunt? What are their ages? One or two of them may be eligable to play the U-19 WC.
