Apne to Tao 15 minutes er lecture paisen, amader Masjid e pura Ramadan e donation cheye kataise. Our Imam even said something like this "you donate $1,000 to the Masjid and you'll receive a certificate from us and that certificate will be your certificate to enter into Jannat". To them Islam is all about donation.

Well, that was one of my qualm. I attended prayer on Laylatul Qadr only and got turned off by some sermons. Brotherhood and concept of ummah, albeit emphasizing insulation over isolation, was emphasized more and how people went lost or astray. Of course, I failed to see why would they be bothered or make it their business if someone of religion abdicated his or her faith. But, on the flip side to it the recitation was from the heart - pure.
And speaking of religion, lol in school some Church guy got booed by whole crowd with Repent or Go to HELL sign, in free speech zone.

Goodgosh help me! All the ignorance I read on the internet. FB isn't helping anyone. Honestly, I'm all for religion. But when you see people arguing like the doof brains they are ughh. Just cause you can use big words/ have a good vocab going for you doesn't mean you're right, you ignorant douche. No logic, no reason! GAHHH What sucks even more is I can't even comment on the post because I'm not part of the darn group :S

Therein lies the problem with religion. Follow me and I shall take you to the promised land for my way is better than yours.

Cream & Fudge Dhanmondi
I ran up a tk.5260 bill...they decided to charge me tk.790 for it. 14 scoops of ice cream + drinks + VAT...I know things can go wrong sometimes, but did the idiot waiter not bother to look at the bill?
I pointed out the mistake(gotta set a good example for the kids ) - manager 'rewarded' us with 5 loyalty cards. I left the waiter no tip.
*I say rewarded, those discount cards are gonna end up costing everyone a fortune.

It was ~$60...now if it was $600, that really would have tested my resolve
Seriously, I didn't want the poor kid sat at the cash register to get in trouble, and it being Bangladesh, who knows, that might have been a months pay.

Listening to old Adnan Sami songs. An amazing singer with amazing lyrics as well --
"O bezubaan ehsaas ko, kya karu main bayaan... O meri jaan..." (How will I narrate the unspeakable feelings, o my love). That's my translation. But the meaning and passion is lost.

'Gangnam style' ..... (the Korean counterpart of Kolaveri di)
random thoughts: is there a financial gain (in anyway) predicting a viral video? did anyone come close to cracking the secret of going viral? When do you call a video viral nowadays, 50 mil+ views in a relatively short period perhaps?

Rifat - not directed at you but the post you made about the preference for marrying a virgin is one of the most face-palm inducing misogynist and sexist piece of utter tripe I have seen in a while. That is purely the product of male chauvinism and their desire to own and keep for himself a woman who has not been 'defiled' by other men (Do note the word is in quotes). What of the woman's preference for a pure man who is not a widower, not withstanding whatever hand induced self-defilement? And even if one were to subscribe to the notion of men being the keeper and protector of the weaker sex, would it not be more moral for a man to marry a widow and save her from the thralls of penury? It is a shame when ancient and execrable cultural practices that promote the thralldom of men over women are false wrapped in the cloak of religion and propagated to sustain the self-serving century old subjugation. Can you tell I am pissed?
