As much as I would love the Banglawash, I don't really care! We won two ODI series against Kiwis now. They just lost 6 consecutive ODIs matches against us. Them winning one, won't make us a bad team. We should still make hay while the sun shines and go for 3-0 ensuring that we aren't being complacent. This feels so good!

Couldnt resist posting it. hilarious stuff

we need to play more ODIs. cannot understand why teams like australia & india are playing an insignificant 7 match ODI series. we need to play more cricket. we are ca[pable of beating any team in the world. The results over the past year have proven just that.

BCCI is only interested in money. period. They will keep playing these ridiculous 7 match ODI series against teams continuously without fail if it seems profitable.....To get invited there Bangladesh will need to reach the top three in rankings or win both t20 and ODI WC...

Congrats to the boys. They proved the Banglawash was not a fluke. We're proving to be a rising force in ODIs at least at home

To be fair, most of the Cricinfo staff are Indian and a bit of regional bias is inevitable, good business even, considering their customer base.
Also, they recently started offering different homepage to different region. Make sure that you have selected the "Global" option at the top left.
Finally, S rajesh and his ilk have a point. Most of their claims are statistically proven. You'll notice that in the last 18 months, nobody claimed Bangladesh are playing poorly.

We are already a force at home. We haven't lost a series at home for more than a year.

True but the next step is now beating SL in February. Also the Asia Cup. This upcoming year will test our team a lot

on the issue of the bias on the Cricinfo.... i think Mr. Mohammed Islam is an excellent writer in the worldwide cricket community for bangladesh; he is truly a tiger.

Agreed. I think we can run the Srilankan's close at home given that we drew the series at SL. Hopefully Shakib will recover and be fully fit.

The thing is instead of just blaming them they are the mostly sought team to play in the cricketing world. They bring in so much money that all test playing nations wait for a series against india....with 9 test teams inviting them they have to choose their cricket series' very selectively....ie If India goes to Zimbabwe for a month long tour the Zimbabwean cricket board would no longer be in such financial distress.....But since time is money as well they play against teams like Australia, England and South Africa who bring in much more advertising worth....and probably tougher cricket.....since we dont bring them money or even potential of rating points ( more likely to choose than win) they'd rather not play us....What we could do is convince the Paki board to send their team here or manage matches for us in UAE like they do for 'white skinned teams'...Problem with the Pakis is that they expect us Bangalis to go in their bomb and terrorist infested cities to risk our players lives....so we have to stay happy with Windies, NZ and SL....hopefully NZ will start inviting us to play in their conditions to get some semblance of respect back:P......What we should do is invite Zimbabwe for 4 or 5 test series here in Bangladesh and next time onwards ask SL, WI and NZ for atleast 3 match test series'

i love his writing. It's not primarily focused on the cricket, but the life of the Bangladeshis and their love for the game. I especially love Mominul's story. He's highlighting the importance of cricket on the population; the most die hard fans of cricket to the world. He's showing to the world a whole new way of loving bangladesh cricket- which was one of my reason for supporting the Bangladesh team for over 12 years.
