Is it really? I don't think so. He is a single person and he cannot have control on everything. What do the others in BCB do? Why are not they trying to stop Lipu? The whole board is to be blamed for the failures.

didn't they recently say they were going to investigate him for comments he made? my guess is they're going to try and pin the disaster that's been the last few months on siddons, and he certainly deserves some of the responsibility but so do the BCB and the players.

Another big failure for all the previous and current boards is not being able to put up a good school cricket. We all know about Sachin. He first came to limelight with his 664 partnership record vinod kambli in school cricket. These guys got the opportunity to play longer version of cricket since their childhood. This is how the temperament builds up for them.

On Contrary, our school level players normally play picnic type cricket in limited over championship. I am not sure what the length of the matches in school level these days is. But I am sure it's not more than 40 overs. How can we expect that they would master the art of playing long innings? No Harry Potter is there for them to cast magic I think. Is there any?

Our boys need to be given turf practice wickets at least from the district level. Which doesn't happen here at all. A group of quality curators is just as important as coaches in order to continue development of cricket in any country.

By the way, how many active committees BCB have right now?

He is just incompetent as selector. Lack intelligence, driven by personal vindication ruther well being of team. He also lacks authoritative skill to motivate player which Faruq used to keep players on their tow to improve.

I also agree that BCB is the main problem here.

I want to see Mr. Lipu and co. doing the right thing this time to save BD cricket. Otherwise please leave your chairs. You don't deserve it. Better handover it to some eligible persons. Even in BC we have some good devoted cricketing brain who much more capable of running the show. Beamer do you hear me?

The real question is: Does Lipu has any damages left to do?

From where we were and where we are today all decisions were made by one single person Lipu, who was a failed captain and did nothing but destroyed the momentum we had till he took over.

Prothom alo reports that Lipu was informed about the ICL offers by Ash at least 1 month ago. What did he and his board do to stop the players from going there? Is Lipu also involved with ICL?

well said.. to most of you.. i agree bcb is one of the main problems.. we need to get flat/bouncy pitches.. and school cricket needs improvement.. players need to grow up and mature as a cricket from a tender age.. they should start learning the proper art of cricket when they're young.. its much easier to learn when ur young to when u become older.. they need good coaches at the junior level..

A very good chance to see changes in the BCB. It's now up the media to create real pressure for much needed changes. The BCB must show their accountability this time. I want to know the followings..
  • The names in the BCB payroll. What do they have to do to get the salary? Individual salary amount must be disclosed along with all kinds of facilities.
  • Why Mr. Lipu didn't take any initiative to stop the players joining ICL when he knew the news from Ash at least one month ago?
  • What is the selection criteria of selecting the selectors? Why do we have the worst selection committee in the history of Bangladesh cricket right at the moment? Who did select them?
  • Why no change in the domestic cricket could be possible so far? Who is liable for this failure?
  • Where are the much awaited divisional cricket boards?
  • Why tiger cricket web site doesn't come with any visions and plans from BCB? isn't it better to stop such a site from running than having in the current dis-ordered form? (As for example, right now this is the 4th day morning of the academy teams match between BD and SLA. TC still showing the score card after the closing of the 2nd day).

BCB will remain to be the core problem for another century & more.

Means we will never achieve what we could have achieved.

All these stories and comments should go public and to BCB as well. However, no newspaper will take that much responsibility and time to publish these important views all-around the year.

I think its time to have our own BanglaCricket paper based magazine or something like that. Important articles could be selected from BanglaCricket forum and published there monthly or fortnightly.

If no one can take the responsibilities of the future of BD cricket then we have to do it ourselves because we love BD cricket from the bottom of our heart.

Perfect time to dig this old thread. We are really in a very bad condition right now. It's a wakeup call. But I have no faith in Lipu. I really see a gloomy future.
