right so riyad gave up his captaincy because he didn't think he was as good as the other, that's not a good trait to have as a captain.

as far as those couple of half centuries at #7, he's got none batting at #7 in tests, no centuries, no half centuries. his 1 century came batting at #8 and 4 of his 6 half centuries came batting at #8 as well. his test batting average when he bats from 4-7 is 16.21 and that includes the other 2 half centuries he's got in tests so the numbers say he's not very good batting up the order, at least not in tests.

in no way should he be considered as captain in tests, no way at all. has more of a shot in ODIs than any other format, but then his attitude is all wrong to be a captain so imo he should be ruled out completely.

No doubt that Shahriar Nafees has a good cricketing brain. I think he has a cool head on his shoulders, but a captain must be able to perform well as a player as well.

If a captain performs, then it lifts the spirit of the team

Jahurul Islam Aumi is a good option. He has done it in NCL.

(NCL FC is not Test Cricket)

I would ask Mushy to continue test captaincy for the time being and appoint Nasir for ODI and T20 captaincy.

Mushfique is by far the best off field organizer, and Shakib is by far the best in field tactician, selector and aggressor. Shakib always perfroms best when he is the captain.

For the current composition of this team, Shakib should be the captain and Mushfique should be the vice captain.

did anyone think that if mushfique
had a 2nd wicket keeper in the team, then we could have a different result on this tour?

i mean keeping throughout the match and then coming to bat - it was a bit too much; which also includes leading /captaining?

i mean, in the tests, if we had mush come up the order at four -as cool headed batter as he is; the things could have been different? he might have the extra time to think about his bowling strategy etc. etc.

Riyadh, nasir, Tamil, sakib - they are all good options; but i think if mush doesn't reconsider, the n its time for bcb to think about diffrent captains for different formats of the game.

I would request Mushfique to reconsider his dicision as i feel he is by far the best captain we have ever had. And BCB please don't even think about giving captaincy to tamim and nasir

[QUOTE=Dilscoop;1702536]For now, 2x time BPL champion Mashrafe Bin Mortaza. He's saving himself for what? Not get injured? Well he's not playing and still getting injured. Just play, retire after WC 15. No point in hanging around.

LOL , Don't know why i could not stop myself from laughing after reading this line

this is serious. this is serious.

i dont want those players in the team who intentionally plays bad for a team so that the captain cant get credit for the teams performance.

this needs to be investigated and if such players exist then they should banned.

"Ian Pont @Ponty100mph

@Bakhtiar_RMD As I said before, best cricket brain is Sharihar Nafees. I'd have him for TESTS (form permitting) and someone else for ODI
9:49 AM - 8 May 2013 from King's Lynn and West Norfolk, Norfolk, United Kingdom"

-Best joke of the year! - The guy who throws his kodal in every innings like an idiot in test match, who is also one of the most senior guy in team?? I doubt he has any ghilu (gray matter) in side the khopri (skull).

Tamim shuru-r dike valo-i chilo, but shakib-er palla-i (and Jamie's guidance) poira, kom boyoshe matha noshto hoe geche. now-a-days be creates more non-cricketing news than a cricketing one.

I think in BD team one guy has brain in between ape and human and he is sir Ash (no doubt possessed with unbelievable talent). And Ash beats Tamim in that respect by a very close mirgin. If we organize our cricketer from ghilu-wise (brain factor), starting with the least ghilu, it would be -

1. Ash (Very close to Ape and barely touches human)
2. Tamim (now-a-days, he makes me even confused, whether he will beat Ash on this)
3. Shahadat (Ravina tendon orofe, SRK)

(Lemme put a gap before, I start 4)

4. Zahurul
5. Razzak
6. Shafiul

(another deliberate gap)
7. Anamul
8. Robiul
9. Mominul
10. Mullah

(another deliberate gap)
11. Mushfiq
12. Shakib
(another deliberate gap)

13. Nasir
14. Mashrafe (I am biased here because he is the best gentle-man and die-hard cricketer for BD)

Overall, Mushfiq is the best due to his extreme hard working mentality, dedication and discipline and above all, academics and education and spirit, love for the game of cricket.

yes mushy's hard work is a great example to the new call-ups to the team, players should work hard anyway but if the captain is doing then absolutely no excuse not to.

Who should be the new captain?

Mushfiqur Rahim. Simple. He should withdraw his resignation and get re- connected with his rational senses. There is no better person to lead this Bangladeshi side than the Little Fella!

For the 4 people who picked Ash, would it be too much to ask for a reasoned explanation for your choice?

Mushy did a mistake by resigning. Mushy is the best option we have.
