Zimbabwe bhoi paitese...revises tour itinerary
The ZC has decided to flip the order of the tour and put the Tests first instead of last. Presumably the logic is to put the most important part of the series first, while we are least acclimatised. ZIM will thus have played 4 Tests in a row and be well adjusted to the format, whereas we will be coming off limited overs cricket.
Should be a good challenge.

^^ Didn't know you can do that.
Seriously ?
Its clear where they are coming from, but how come they haven't thought of it before ?
If this is the case, BCB should demand at least 2 warm up FC matches before the test series.

Ahh,not too thrilled to play Zimbabwe actually. Not a good risk-reward ratio for us. From now on, BCB should play one day or test series with higher ranked nations. Or if they really have to play lower ranked nations, they can participate in cups involving at least 3 nations. That kind of increases the risk-reward ratio.

i don't think zimbabwe is scared, they are trying to play their best to beat bangladesh team and give the message to the world that we can play better then bangladesh team. Its their home series, they will try to get home advantage as many ways as possible, thats very simple idea.

Is there any practice match before the test series?

Bangladesh can benefit a lot from playing Zimbabwe especially in Zimbabwe and more specifically in the seaming conditions of Harare! They have a very good bowling line up and would even say better than ours (and perhaps India's) in the pace department so it will provide a good challenge to our batsmen as their techniques will be tested in these conditions.
It will also give our seam bowlers a chance to profit from these helpful conditions and if successful prompt our curators back home to start producing seamer friendly wickets.
I don't think we should be too worried about itinerary revision, one must remember that we went into the SL test series after BPL and still put in a credible performance so bring it on I say!

Ahh,okay. Yes, that helps a lot. Now I'm more eager for the Zim series. Thanks.

I was expecting short format first.
No way we will have to adjust quickly.

AF, ZC sent a letter to BCB wishing to change the fixture but I read on PA that BCB would resist doing that. BCB spokesman said they want to play ODIs first.
I think BCB understands what sort advantages we will have playing ODIs first.

BCB should simply refuse, citing any excuse. I don't think ZIM can unilaterally change it.

Hahahah, yeah mayne. This was about a whole different issue altogether. I just couldn't get hyped up about the Zim series. Fortunately for me, Yameen cited some very good reasons as to why the reward to risk ration might not be as skewed as I originally thought with the Zim series.

That would be great and somewhat humerous if BCB puts their foot down. I think the last tour ZC tried to bully the BCB by not giving a proper practice match 2-day game only. To be honest, ZC have been quite poor as hosts when it comes to the BCB. I think there were some hotel or travel issues when we toured in 2009. What we need to do is beat them so bad in their backyard that they decide to take another 6 year leave of absence from Tests, haha.

I don't think it matters either way but we should attempt to maximize our advantages. ZC seems to a bit of a dirty customer when it comes to hosting Bangladesh, but whatever. With Bulawayo hosting all the limited overs games, we should pencil those in as a 5-0 sweep. But we'll have to be on our toes to ensure that we win the Tests 2-0, which cannot be guaranteed until the last ball is bowled.

We should still do well... Remember we came to Sri Lanka and played tests after BPL, so the adjusting between formats shouldn't really be an excuse.

Bangladesh loses to Zim and other lower ranked teams, due to over confidence....
