How was 2013 for you?

How was it for you?

for me:

negative: i had a lot of trouble in marriage, was miserable most of the year, lost motivation and drive in life...(pain of that is coming in the following years)... some bar hopping and lost my core values....

positive: made some easy money without much work..... found sparse of happiness in daily things of life like concert with niece, live sports in stadium with friends, random purchases.... best of all, despite all the trouble and through a lot of sacrifice and unlimited patience, still married.... i take pride in that actually, most ppl in that situation i think would be living separately and surfing match.com..

hoping for a better year in 2014....

2013 was for me:

> Sold some photos - my first earnings from photography
> I have a beautiful indoor garden now
> Tigers made me proud and happy
> Bangladeshi politicians made me sad

hi that's pretty cool kalpurush, thanks for sharing. Where you selling your photos? share some of them with us.... for 2014, you should do wedding and party photography as a side business... and market in fb. Wedding is a generous market.

2013 marks my first full calendar year in Bangladesh. It was a roller coaster but an interesting ride, physically and mentally.

2013 was a mix bag for me

-> Bought a smart phone with my own money, it felt good!
-> Very good year for BD cricket, enjoyed it really much

-> Had an horrendous experience in 5 may, i hope i never get in those kind of situations again but with the political tension in the country its likely that i could again be in the crossfire

Getty Images, Crowdmedia and a local tourism board has bought three photos.

Yes! Wedding is fun!! But, I don't have quality glasses for wedding yet! Planning to buy in 2014...hope so...
Glasses are so expensive - my preferred once costs about more than $2,000 each
which is vital for wedding photography.

Though wedding market is big, the competition is fierce too! And I am not a "PRO" yet, need a bit more time to be ready I guess. Hopefully 2014 will be a better year.

yes life is full of competition, there is no such a thing as free lunch....

for me, I dont feel too optimistic about 2014.....

Sorry! There is no particular reason ... I will uploads the pics in few days. I just don't have the external hard drive with me now!
And most of my images aren't in flickr. It is very easy to manipulate photos once it is uploaded in Web.

You should feel optimistic about 2014...at least financially will be much better IMO.
