Lol...no way, I am gonna question others' right to open thread. Everyone has a right to open thread to express his/her views. It's up to the Mods who will decide what to do. I am glad that we are on the same boat

Whether we can manage more matches is not the main concern, we fans want an honest effort from BCB to discuss with other boards and to organize more matches. This current FTP is too long, we surely can't wait that long. BCB has to be proactive to convince other nations to play more matches with us. If it is not financially feasible to arrange matches in abroad, then why not in Bangladesh ? There will be many changes in bilateral series among teams, BCB has to take those chances.
Moreover, I think BCB has to come out from sissy mentality. They need to invite/send teams to/from Ireland, Afganistan on regular basis to play more matches with 'A' team, Under 23,19 teams.
Okay, we accept that Papon and BCB was busy with election in the past, but what about now ? Since Papon is elected BCB president, what's his plan for Bangladesh in the next 5 years ? I haven't read anything about his plans for future and how will he achieve those ? How long will we wait before he starts doing something good for Bangladesh Cricket ?

If we want more matches, then it's up to BCB to really be aggressive and schedule matches. Since we now have made a strong case in ODIs, we should seek to play 5 ODI series from now on when possible. And we should be playing 3 Test series against Zimbabwe from now on. It'll still be hard to ask for 3 Test series against anyone else though but still if we can get more 5 ODI series rather than 3 then it will make a difference. Again it's up to BCB

BCB should have considered playing with either Zim/WI and should have planned beforehand! For 3 months and no cricket....it will be boooooooooooring for us and bad for tigers! Plus t20 EC's just around the corner and WC's will be in feb/march 2015.....things look baaad!!!

Zimbabwe's the only team that's free in December and January. This would be a perfect time to have a tour with them. That would reduce the gap between now and the SL series.

BTW
I think it will be the wisest to invite Zimbabwe
Because they are the best team we can face and the 2nd fact is that we wont have to face them until SF

After NZ tour, we have no matches for 2 months. Except Bangladesh and Zimbabwe, all other teams will be busy playing. Moreover, we are now so close being no.7 team (1 point away from NZ, 6 points away from WI), we need to play more matches to pass them. Since Zim is also free during that time, lets ask BCB to arrange at least 3 ODI match series against Zim in Bangladesh ! Since T20 WC will be held in Bangladesh, I am sure Zim will want to play some matches in Bangladesh prior to that event. Thanks.

Thank you for agreeing that more matches are needed. It is really ridiculous that we play so few games.
Most fans think players will improve doing ads and sitting at home but that will never happen. Continuous practice against top opposition is required.

I think it would have been a smarter move to invite them because we are afterall playing the world cup in Bangladesh. Even Zimbabwe will benefit from it.
Not to mention fans can get to watch the match which is always great

South Africa world's no 1 side is free and looking for matches and we go for Zimbabwe.
Typical BCB messes up again.

SA has a tour from Nov 20-30 against Pakistan in SA. Then SA is busy all of December with the India tour. I think we'd all want SA but they're unfortunately busy as well. Like I said Zimbabwe is the only team that's available In December and January. Then we have a tour against SL in February. So if we can fit a tour with Zimbabwe before, then that would be great.
Most likely we'll get a 2 Test, 3 ODIs, 2 T20I's tour though. I don't think we'd be able to set a 3 Test, 5 ODI tour because of the SL tour.

Plenty of time for 3 tests and 5 ODIs before SL tour. Look at India's calendar.
