When someone does the same wrong thing again and again and fails...Yet unwilling to change, that's when you know it's stubbornness. That's applicable to Shehwag, Gayle everyone....if you can get away with it scoring big, you become hero... If you can't you have to take the criticism....
Gayle and Shhwag has done enough to be heros...they have triples in test. Although still people argue that they could have been better given away that stubbornness.... But our TI is becoming Mr. 50....
Well for a poor tam like us, he is still good, but then keep him at par with HB...if we have to call him a world class ... Then he needs to at least reach triple figures, not even triple centuries.....
So, I don't understand your point of defending his wreck less ways of throwing away bat....I said in my post, that quick fire 50s are even acceptable in ODIs, but I'm sorry it's not enough for Test cricket...for you may be, but not for me. I expect more from the world class opener of the test team...
And you give an impression that he doesn't know how to be sensible, but I have seen him being sensibly aggressive in the past and he has done well too. Gayle, Shehwag also were sensible and paced their innings when they played those big innings.

As a Bangladeshi? How unlikely is it that what I feel for my country's team is the same as what most of them feel given the contexts?

It's good to see Tamin does well in the fielding dept even when he does not contribute with his bat.
He took some excellent catches.

Finally Tamim has a partner that has the ability to match his results. This should be good for Tamim as it will put more pressure on him to score. If Anamul can score 50's and 100's at the same rate Tamim can, I'm sure you'd see a more motivated Tamim

^^I agree. I want to see healthy competition between our openers. Tamim has only 3 centuries, while Anamul has 1 in just his 2nd ODI. He's already equalled the same number of centuries Kayes scored.

One thing for sure, Tamim and Anam, both are two very weird runners. Almost peed my PJs bunch of times in the last 2 games (although that could by my age acting, going on 68). No calling, they just look at each other and stand there. One backs away too much. Other one doesn't call till he finishes running. It's a cluster eff.

with anamul coming in and performing we could see a better tamim, if anamul keeps it up surely tamim won't feel soo much pressure being the only top 3 batsman that performs regularly so it will allow him to play his best and be a bit more comfortable and relaxed rather than feeling constant pressure that if he fails all is doomed.

It's Tummym not Anamul who is a weird runner - because he ran great with Mushy - despite that one time he had to dive to save his wicket.

Papon should drop him then. XD And then his adorer chacchu will resign & then a bit of drama & he'll come back eventually score another 4-5 50's in a row & show the count in fingers.

Someone tell me why the hell does this guy start talking about bats with the opponent players right after the game?? What does he do during off days??? From UV, to KP, to Sammy.

If I was in charge, I would just drop him I mean he obviously doesn't care whether he performs or not and just wants to be part of the set-up. He knows that there is hardly anyone good enough to replace him in our team but this is not what fans especially those coming to the stadium to watch deserve.

Is this guy really our best batsmen? World class, and still couldn't even get us off to a start chasing 211
