Tamim averages just over 50 in non-Test matches...so he's still well ahead of the BiJoy. But I feel like Bijoy is getting into killer groove and he could dominate - if he isn't already. He scored 3 hundreds last season and already has 2 this season. I feel like Anam could score 5 hundreds this season.

Maybe it's a little too early to say this, but I think Shourobh, Ratul and Liton are nothing but technically better Tushar Imran/Faisal Hossain-type domestic bullies in the making. Sadly there's plenty more where they hail from.

Every league has its domestic bullies...as long as ours keep getting better, we're moving UP!

The nightwatchman tactics fail miserably for CTG.

Tamim averages 51.87 in non-Test matches so he's still ahead of Hom and Anamul.

Do you think the franchise based league (if it comes to fruition) will be any better?

At least we can expect something better if it comes true.

So looks like if anyone in the top order fails miserably in the first Test (which is highly likely), the selectors will bring Anamul in for the second. The scary part - we might see Razzak in the team chucking freebies down the leg too.

IMO if anyone fails in top order Anamul will be selected but I don't see any chance for Razzak because Enamul Jr. is more consistent than him.

Very effective in OUR domestic FC where 99% of the batters lack patience, tend to not come down the wicket and can be tempted to indiscretion. A Test batter can block his good ones all day, hit the bad balls and by end of day, tire him out to go after him.

Neither Mominul nor Anamul ... None of them are ready yet... This league is very deceptive and without the national team players, it's even more....so, getting excited with domestic performances doesn't make any sense. We have to see them against quality 'A' team or against the main teams in practice matches. We lost an opportunity this time, due to rain.
All I remember is that, Anamul failed in consecutive 3 Matches against Zim and a reduced SA team...it was T20 but he was batting in a good position to play proper cricketing shots. U19 performances aren't good enough to say, that a player is ready for test level.

Unfortunately the opportunities to play 'A' team matches are few and far between. They are now and they always have been. How long will we have to wait to know if he is truly 'ready'?
The current candidates for our no. 3 spot, JS, SN, etc. got into the national team after achieving far, far less than Anamul in the U-19 & Academy stage, even in the NCL that you so deplore.
At the end of the day, if someone like Junaid, who has 4 centuries in 99 innings and Nafees, who has 5 centuries in 107 innings in our 'picnic-like' NCL are able to go and score centuries against England and Australia respectively, then there is reason to believe that someone who has 7 centuries in 42 innings will be able to acquit himself well.
