Dear O dear SRK got injured in his return and left them team in a deep hole in just the very first day. Explain me someone what he even did to get a call in the squad let alone in the starting XI? I don't mean to be harsh on the man, hope he recovers quick- am sure he has his family to feed, so best wishes for a speedy recovery. But please don't cheat against your own nation, if your ever was HYDING an injury I hope he didn't.

This selection of him itself was a shocker. I thought we moved on from certain dead woods from pre 2008 era. But his guy keeps getting back even though he's not done anything special. Abul on the other hand just took career best in domestic; got the confidence up; surely would have had better thing to offer. Well that's for another day..


I don't mean to be harsh or rude again; any injuries are not nice and it had affect on a person. But I think this is a curse from Alamin more than anything. And unfortunalty it went towards SRK. Because the Al Amin has been treated like a no body suddenly after breaking the team carfew during the wc; but he previous was such promising, was the best bowler for BD in 2014; suddenly bcb seems to have forgotten him OR neglecting him as punishment!

All those people trying to blame it on the selectors, apparently they are also bamboozled by this bizarre choice to bowl first with only two seamers.

Selection panel members also could not find any logical answer behind the decision of opting to bowl first and according to them the line-up suggests that deciding to bowl first does not go in line with playing XI.

‘If we are bowling than why did we pick two pace bowlers,’ questioned a former national skipper of the selection panel.

‘We must play to our strength and also look forward so that opponent’s strength is cut short but that is not the case here,’ he said

‘If we are picking three spinners and two pace bowlers than it would have been right to bowl in the second innings because as far as I know spinners can be most destructive in the fourth innings,’ he added.

^^As per news reports, Gamini was well consulted by Hathuri in preparation of this pitch. Why would Hathuri ask Gamini not to roll down the grass and then expect Mushfiq to choose to bat first?!

May be Rahim made the decision without consulting Haturu or even worse ignoring the coach.

Huturu said repeatedly that he give his players freedom, and in cricket captains have lots to say selecting the final 11.

And historically speaking, this decision is more consistent with Rahim's intelligence and unlike Haturu's intelligence.

This is the most puzzling part - team management asked to leave the grass on the pitch, but including the 3rd pacer was never in their consideration. Rather they wanted to go with a spin heavy attack!
