BD opening Bowling pair: Your verdict
Lets find out from devoted BD fans whom they want to see as opening bowling pair in ODI. I would request, you justify your choice with proper reasoning and logic, not with some immature and emotional outburst like Ashraful.

If I were the horta-korta Mash-Rasel, Rasel-Shahadat or Mash-shahadat (rotation).
Ashraful do not have any immature and emotional outburst. The team management has devised a plan and they are sticking to it.

Mash - Rasel.....Rasel has to be there...no matter what...He brings in the variation and he swings the ball (both ways at times!).....And he sticks to the basics...Line and Length....We must not waste this guy by keeping him on the sideline...

I agree with that. Now that Rafique is retired I think it makes room for an additional pacer although I would have still liked Rafique there. If you ask for only 2 pacers then my choice would automatically be Mash + Rasel. I feel these two would be a great combination of fast and medium fast. It is pretty effective too because it is pretty hard to adjust with a fast bowler at one end and a slower one on the other end!!
But whatever it is Rasel has to stay in the team unless there is any emergency or injury or something.

I think the best bowling pair so far has been mashrafe and rasel, they were always ideal to work together, from one end mash keeps attcking with his in and out swingers and in the other end rasel plays defensive and keeps it tight with his medium pace and beautiful swing.

I think they need to try Tamim as the opening FB bowler (along with Razzak) , so that they can drop Mash and add another batsman in the lineup.
Tamim had the FB type buildup as well as 'no-nonsense punch in your face' type mentaility.
Plus there should be anothe poll who should be the wicket keeper. If Junaid can do that job make shift wicket keeper, the there you go... another opportunity to further solidify our liquid batting strength.

If Mashrafe can Take Wickets Early than the Razzak + Mashrafe combo will work vs ANY TEAM but if Mashrafe's line and Length are off than were doomed to face a very Large Total therefore it's high risk. I wonder why they haven't tried the Rasel + Rajib opening pair with Masri bowling 1 down? It worked well vs Kenya.
But Obviously Rasel + Masri is the way to go

I think we did the same thing against South Africa as well. In the 3rd ODI, I guess.

I think it was the 1st ODI because they thought SA cannot play spin. Unfortunately the openers for SAF are also the best players of pin on the side. Normal service resumed for the final 2 ODIs

Mashrafe and Rasel in ODI. Third pacer would be Reza.
Mashrafe and Shahadat in test. Third pacer could be Rasel or Sajidul.
