Pakistan, India, Srilanka...the Asian bloc will be last to go after BD's test status.

Pakistan got the confidence back. Ajmal, Younis, Misbah, Akmal all are in great touch. This wont be a easy series for England and cretainly they cant whitewash Pakistan. Remember this series will be in Dubai.

Pakistan might win the series as they have some quality spinners.

It will be a real test for Pakistan.

Regardless who wins, it will be a good close series.

Well, Eng XI won the FC match with ICC XI. It was a good showing with Mohammed Shahzad of AFG scoring two half centuries (74 and 51). He has an amazing FC average of 69.84. Before this match it was 70. Looks like he has chutzpah. Look at quote in post #22/23 above (thanks Dilscoop ).

I really hope that Bangladesh and Pakistan can help AFG develop more - they have true potential. Someone has to help them in the same way ENG does for IRL ( I know that is not for unselfish reasons, but still). AFG is a real never-give-up team.

So basically, a bunch of associate players poses more of a threat than the Bangladesh national team.

Heh heh - but I did enjoy seeing ENG XI get a run for its money. I have a bad habit of rooting for underdogs, and when they show up like this - it really gets me going !

The thing is these associates have nothing to lose - and they give their all.

Apparently Cook has not played competitive cricket since October, and other Englishmen have had a longet hiatus.

So what happens when BD players go back to test matches after our long hiatuses? Why does the world not see our side of the story? Why can England only claim this as an excuse?
It was a rhetorical question, right? We all know the answer...

I can never support England after their 200+ years in the subcontinent. I'll be a neutral spectator. It's funny how the #1 team is doing in Australia.

I could have won the game

Quote:
Day two of the match had started so well for me. I felt I was bowling quickly and accurately against England’s top order and was just trying to concentrate on not giving the batsmen any room. Hopefully the person who updates the statistics on Cricinfo will have been watching and will change my style of bowling to fast, rather than just medium-fast, on my player profile.

Ambidexterity isn't an uncommon trait.

Look at this mind game played by MCC just before the Eng-Pak games.
Makes me wonder... oh why wonder...

I am in no way condoning illegal activities. Far from it, its just the timing that gets me.

And why wonder... seeing Boycott and Atherton on that list is enough.

Timing? The MCC committee had a meeting at Cape Town on January 8th and 9th. They made quite a few recommendations apart from the one you mentioned.

By the way, I totally agree with the MCC here. Those three cheats should never be allowed to step on the cricket field. Plus Wahab Riaz and Umar Akmal should be investigated too.
