Default A New Fresh Start After the World Cup

Hi all. I have some plans and it is for our national cricket team.

1. Sakib and Tamim should be demoted just so that they work hard to the national side again and I guarantee 110% they will do it easily. It will be just a shake to them.

2. The young stars like Taskin, Sarker, Bijoy, Taijul, and others should get more and more exposures in domestic and international level. BCB should take special care for these young stars.

3. We need specialist fielding coach for 2 years as well, if sangakarra retires or such retired players, we should hire him for 2 years. Bowling coach, sorry to say, need to be changed.

4. Mashrafee isn't physically fit, were told by many icc officials and his bowling lost teeth too. He should step aside if not for him atleast 160 million people.

5. We need to take care stadiums so that bowlers and batsmed both can take advantage. We should quit only playing in Dhaka and Chittagong. We should also play in Khulna, Sylhet and as well Chandu stadium.

6. We should send our A team and under '19 team to play more and more international level.

That's all.

I think it's time to bring Gandalf back. At least he promised to build a world class stadium for us.

I'd be moving mushy to 3 now, soumya can fight with anamul and litton for the other opener spot, riyad and shakib stay in the middle order and nasir and shabbir are the lower order. For the bowling mustafizur can start to be introduced.

1) No, Shakib and Tamim should not be demoted just because they are having poor form. Mahmudullah Riyad was having extremely poor form early-mid 2014, everyone was howling at BCB back then. Tamim to this date has been the best opener Bangladesh produced, we should give him a bit more chance, although my worst fear is Tamim might turn into Ashraful 2.0. Bijoy might be out for at least 3 more months .

Replace Imrul KaEdge with Litton ASAP.

2) Yes, also bring in a few more new and fresh talents like Litton; give Soumya, Taijul, Mominul and Taskin more chance to appear in the starting XI (make them regulars).

3) fielding coach- Yes, definitely, can't agree with bowling coach though. Our ground fielding and running between wickets need to improve hugely.

4) Mash is still good to go, and bowled reasonably well in most of the WC game. The game against India wasn't just his day.

5) that's a good idea, having 1 or 2 ODIs and tests outside of Dhaka and Chittagong once in a while.

6) Agreed. We must also give our main team more international tours to get used to foreign conditions. An Ocenia tour would be perfect for us (before the SA tour of Bangladesh).

Mustafiz is too raw. Please check total no of matches he played so far.

He is too skinny as well. He needs build his physic before he is able to handle international pressure.

fficeffice" /> few key action plans:
-identifying non performing players
-potential long term option
-look for strong back up players
-coaching on professionalism, discipline and off field behaviour
- categorized players by formats

Coaching staff is fine. The players will play better at home. We didn't get embarrassed at the WC. We are in the right track. Stop opening knee jerk threads. The end.

Lol at these threads make no sense whatso ever. Fresh start for what - not like the team has not reached QF. This been a good wc considering where the team was in 2014 and reaching WC QF can only make the beliefs stronger for the future series and tournements.

No need for fresh start. Definately certain batsmens need to take deep look at themselfs and start perfoming otherwise youngsters are coming through better rate it seems, hence it will be problem for the dead woods to keep their places in the team.

Openin pair is a big issue. Could try and see SS with Tamim. SS has been opening most of WC anyway, coming in so early most matches.
