Came forward to this video, interesting to see non desi kids playing cricket in US. one guy mentioned cricket was popular in the 19th century in US

They already wanna cut down on the duration of baseball games. For it to spread, they have to do what soccer and lacrosse is doing: get the game in the schools.

And possibly make a stadium in the greater metropolitan region (BosNyWash Megapolis).

Stage international games every summer. I wouldn't mind going.

But it all sounds like a pipe-dream at this time,.

The Belmont Cricket Club team of 1905, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Belmont Cricket Club was a casualty of cricket's decline in Philadelphia. It was disbanded in 1914.

International cricket begins. The first ever international cricket game was between the USA and Canada in 1844. The match was played at the grounds of the St George's Cricket Club in New York.

Here in Staten Island, we have the oldest cricket club in the United States. Established in 1872

When NCAA has cricket, it's over for all other nations. It would be the greatest cricket domestic league in the world, better than Ranji Trophy, better than County Cricket.

Cricket in the USA will never ever happen. I can guarantee it. Baseball is part of the cultural fabric of the sport, and even then some are questioning how to shorten the 3 hour game time.

Cricket's only avenue for growth is to follow the subcontinent template. Zero in on third world countries with very little sporting success and global influence, where cricket can act as a vehicle through which the country's population can unleash their nationalism.

Instead of western countries, the focus should be South East Asia. Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia, Philippines. These are emerging countries with very little sports success. One "World Cup" participation would be enough to get the population excited about the sport.
