British media match reports: 23 May
Rahim discounts age w/ veteran innings
DAV WHATMORE, the Bangladesh coach, may still be in doubt about the composition of his team for the first Test match against England at Lord’s on Thursday but the name of Mushfiqur Rahim should be written in capitals.
Whatmore said: “He looks so controlled it would be a great Test debut for him at Lord’s. The lad has shown he wants to play.”

"A series of mistimed strokes brought lofted catches and cost wickets. Far more circumspection is needed at Lord’s"- Timesonline
Really sad!

BBC Report
Coach Dav Whatmore admits it will be hard to leave him out.
He said: "He played some genuinely great shots and hopefully it will give the England bowlers something to think about in the next few days.
"When players are that impressive it seems hard and very unfair to leave them out.
"But even if he doesn't play, games like these are invaluable in terms of broadening his experience.
"He is still young but his potential is massive. Just to make this touring squad has been a fantastic achievement for him."

Angus Fraser Report
"At Lord's, Stephen Harmison, Andrew Flintoff, Matthew Hoggard and Simon Jones will give the technique and courage of the teenager a far sterner test than the threadbare attack he faced yesterday, but the manner in which he compiled his runs suggests he has an exciting future."
"Rahim struck the ball beautifully and it was hard to believe you were watching a player so tender in age. His driving was superb and he was fearless in coming down the wicket."

OMG, the English media is so full of praise for rahim.
Hope that does not make him too self-satisfied (the Ash syndrome).
