Default Ashraful's fastest 50 record is just broken by Yuvraj

Ashraful's fastest 50 record is just broken by Yuvraj Singh. 6 huge sixes in a row in an over and in the next over he completed his 50 in 12 balls... absolutely amazing to watch. Unlucky for Ashraful though!

Ashrafuls fastest fifty was to be broken regardless.. 20 ball fifty is not realy something big... 12 ball fifty is what we call big. And Congratulation Yuvraj for an outstanding job.

Awesome hitting!!

It will be extremely difficult if not impossible to break the record again.

Well done Yuvi.!!

Unfortunately ashraful is better at Underachieving than yuvraj. Yuvraj had a series-winning contribution to in the IND-SAF 3 ODI series earlier this year.

Default Yuvraj Singh hit 6 sixes in one over

Unsurprisingly, that's also the fastest Twenty20 fifty - it came up from 12 balls. Three fours, six sixes. More to the point, he's the first batsman to hit six sixes in Twenty20, and the fourth in senior cricket. Garry Sobers and Ravi Shastri did it in first-class matches, Herschelle Gibbs in the World Cup and now Yuvraj.

16.5Tremlett to Yuvraj Singh, no run, short and lively welcome from Tremlett
16.6Tremlett to Yuvraj Singh, FOUR, driven uppishly over the covers, he gave himself room and timed that sweetly
India 159/3 Yuvraj Singh 4* (2b 1x4)
17.2Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, swung into the leg side, well picked up
17.4Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, FOUR, half-volley which he squeezes with an open face over point for a one bounce four ... a high-risk shot but his connection was sweet
17.5Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, FOUR, short, hooked into the heavens where it hangs for several seconds before plopping two yards in from the boundary and perfectly between two approaching fielders
17.6Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, 1 run, chipped to long-on
India 171/3 Yuvraj Singh 14* (6b 3x4)
18.1Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, that's out the ground, super shot over cow corner and it just kept going up
18.2Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, now that really is sweet, no more than a dismissive flick off his legs, swatting a fly, and the ball arcs deep into the crowd beyond backward square leg
18.3Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, he's hitting them everywhere, he steps to leg and smashes the ball over extra cover and it keeps on travelling ... the fireworks start on top of the scoreboard ... they've been going off in the middle for some time
18.4Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, Shiver me timbers!: Broad goes round the wicket, bowls a filthy wide full toss and Yuvraj steers it over backward point and it clears the rope again
18.5Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, down on one knee and larruped over midwicket, that one was more nine iron, it went into the night sky and dropped with a thud in the jubilant crowd ...
18.6Broad to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, and he has, Yuvraj leans back and smacks that over wide mid-on ... it was the maximum from the moment it left that bat and the crowd were roaring as it flew
India 207/3 Yuvraj Singh 50* (12b 3x4 6x6)
19.2Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, no run, full toss and a wide one - it pitched nearer the keeper than the stumps - Yuvraj leaves and then he and Flintoff chat
19.3Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, 2 runs, improvised chip into the leg side, he stepped to the off and eased it one bounce to deep midwicket
19.4Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, SIX, Flintoff's turn to suffer, a full swing and launched over long-off
19.5Flintoff to Yuvraj Singh, OUT, finally he doesn't quite get hold of one and thwacks a full toss to long-on. It matters not one jot, he's done his job and the crowd stand in appreciation
Yuvraj Singh c Collingwood b Flintoff 58 (14m 16b 3x4 7x6) SR: 362.50
India 216/4 Yuvraj Singh 58 (16b 3x4 7x6)

Arrogant Ashraful should stop talking big now after the record has been broken. And if he tries to broke Yuvraj record, you know what will happen and what he does the best. He was so proud to do the record that he was telling he deserves to be in top 8 and will be fine with SA and SL. It totally backfired and today the record is broken. Instead of talking big, or playing for himself he should start taking responsiblity of the team by not throwing away wickets assuming he has the ticket to do anything.

Disagreed. Stuart Broad is one of the best bowlers England got at present (if not the best). He had an excellent series against India & West Indies. The 6 sixes by Yuvo was just matter of time as this is what you are supposed to do in 20/20 'do or die' match plus Yuvo's revenge was also due. Unfortunately it was against Stuart, although I wish it was against Dimitri who took 5 sixes in a row against Yuvo's bowling during the 6th Eng v Ind ODI last month.

Fantastic hitting! Well done Yuvraj. Ashraful's 20 ball 50 was hardly anything in this format, it was almost broken the next day. Now 12 ball 50 is something!
